Carbs are broken down into sugar in the body which fucks with your insulin causing fatigue. Most people just deal with it and have no idea falling asleep at noon isn't necessary. Eat enough carbs and instead of a crash at lunch you can have a crash all the time (aka diabetes).

digestion may be a problem(according to you, at least) but absolutely every meal will make you slightly more tired afterwards. it just depends on the quantity and materials you're ingesting

I've been on it for about 7 months now. It started as a fuckaround experiment but I doubt I'll ever go off it now. My only caveat is that if you do cheat after being on it a long time it can be uncomfortable (bad shits, it takes a couple days for digestion to adjust to carbs again though ymmv). I would recommend getting meats with a high fat content. On a keto diet your main source of calories is fat so you want to make sure you're getting them. My staple food is ground beef with cod liver oil as a supplement. When I can afford it, fatty cuts of steak and salmon are also favorites. It can seem expensive on the surface but since I never eat snacks or eat out I actually spend less money on food than before. Keto is hands down the best way to lose weight and reduce insulin resistance.
