What is their problem?

Nothing. Diversity is their strength.

Past business and engineering decisions have hurt them eg. bulldozer. Ryzen helps but their GPUs are slacking, due to GCN and nvidia being too competitive. Also they hired a new curry as head boss of RTG. RIP!

They need a fucking 48 year old incel cracker visionary to head their GPU architecture design. Poos and apparently joos can in to architecture.

J... Just Waitâ„¢ for Navi, for Zen 2, for 7nm.

Zen v2 will be here long before Intel will ever get 10nm working.

implying they'll go force full into 10nm, they just sit on their asses for a year til they are able to produce 7nm and try make a comeback.

>American Micro Dicks

clock speed

the fact they already sell their CPUs overclocked the the limit stock so they are too unstable for mission critical work doesn't help either. intel would literally be selling CPUs at 5.5ghz by comparison if they did the same thing.

They pass off software development to the end user.

The i9 9900k is a example of a CPU already pushed hard at stock. 5.1 is all your going to get if your lucky out of a CPU that is 5ghz stock, not close to 5.5

>too unstable for mission critical work
Where did this come from?

The top 9900k mobos have 5.7ghz as a auto oc default you retard

You need water cooling thou

AMD is an anagram of Mad.

youtube.com/watch?v=sTFVMMCwsss

And top AMD FX boards offered 6.0GHz+ as "auto OC" as well in their BIOS. Doesn't mean shit when you need 2.0v or more and LN2 for cooling. The 9900k is Intel's last hurrah on their 14++++++nm node. They've nowhere left to go.

Unless you got a golden sample Coffee Lake R chip. Going beyond 5.1Ghz requires tons of volts. Water-cooling doesn't even cut at maximum load.

The overwhelming majority of 9900K and 9700K silicon are already near their ceiling with maximum turbo boost.

Overclocking on a 9700K and 9900K is an exercise of futility. Its not worth the hassle and thermal output for a meager performance boost over maximum turbo boost.

in your fucking dreams

they are too based for their own good

Nothing. Good cheaper alternative that sometimes provides better results than the competitor. Threadripper for example

>blending load stress test
now post an actual graph

>Intel in preliminary building of 7nm fabs right now
>TSMC going into early 5nm production in Q2 and preparing to build for 3nm
At this rate, unless AMD fucks up, Intel isn't catching up any time soon.

testy

>i9 9900k
>5.7Ghz on water
Shit this is retarded. 5.3 is already an impressive overclock on water for this cpu, for 5.7 you can get your chiller or just use ln...

Gcn just needs it's front end fixed so it can render more than 4 triangles per cycle. or higher clocks.

>Node doesn't matter!

when have has a lower lithography ever been worse for more than a single generation. Most of the time it's stright up better from the first gen onwards.
just because your BIOS has the option doesnt mean it will ever work. Just like how your car's dash might go to 150mph but it will never get there.
