you could have written the original expression at the top you know. The left and the right are not equivalent statements.

????????????

why do you autistic faggots harp on every irrelevant shit just for the sake of arguing desu

The one on the left is the correct one if you're doing pic related, you just have to look at the ÷ to realise it

all of these are correct???

both are correct because you've rewritten the equation exposing yourself as a true retard.

Dividing instead of multiplying does indeed change the result. Phenomenal discovery.

>5+5=10 vs 1+1=2

both are correct

9

They are literally different expressions. On the left you are multiplying the numerator by (1+2) and on the right you are multiplying the denominator by (1+2)

/thread

They don't teach PEMDAS in school anymore. They're doing BODMAS where division is assumed before multiplication. Not sure why tho.

Thread's over, retards, go home. Turns out OP was the real brainlet.

Maybe in your country, not here. BIMDAS here thus 1 is correct for the local school kids.

It doesn't matter, what does matter is that you should always write mathematical expressions with parentheses to avoid ambiguity.
If a person responds to the question "So you're not coming today?" with no, it is ambiguous as to whether or not they are coming in English. It's retarded, but true. The person responding shouldn't get upset if you misinterpret them, because they replied ambigiously. They should've said "No, I am coming" or "No, I'm not coming."

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter in both, the division multiplication are supposed to to be interchangeable, whatever comes first going left to right. Same with addition subtraction

The one on the right is the correct one if you're doing pic related, you just have to look at the ÷ to realise it

> 6/2(1+2)
You'll learn fractions in 5th grade. Now go and play outside with your friends.

Both are correct you stupid mongolian, cocksucker, gaylordfaggot OP

PEDMAS is the american acronym, BEDMAS canadian, BODMAS uk and commonwealth
>They're doing BODMAS where division is assumed before multiplication. Not sure why tho.
if you're a brainlet maybe

So the order you should do your calculations in is:
>Brackets
>Indices
>Division and Multiplication (start on the left and work them out in the order that you find them)
>Addition and Subtraction (when only addition and subtraction are left in the sum, work them out in the order you find them - starting from the left of the sum and working towards the right)
left to fucking right for D/M and A/S

Every division by X is just multiplication by 1/x.

And when you multiply the order doesnt matter.

When writing a division as a fraction, the are implicit parentheses around the entire denominator
Neither one is wrong but they are completely different expressions made to look the same

>start on the left and work them out in the order that you find them)

Dude what are those dumb semantic rules? Just draw a line write every multiplier on top and evry divider on bottom

Like this.
And it removes all and any ambiguity

Kill yourself.
