Discord is BIG BAD BOTNET it stores all your data! It's not publicly accessible but dude, MUH BOTNET!!!

>discord is BIG BAD BOTNET it stores all your data! It's not publicly accessible but dude, MUH BOTNET!!!
>use irc instead, sure anybody can log everything and your IP is visible to everyone so anyone who feels like it can just
echo "psssh...nothin personnel...kid..."
rm -rf --no-preserve-root /
your ass but it's totally safe! There's no big bad botnet company behind it!

It's fitting that the personification of the discord software would be a transgender woman.

>not a furry oc
Not accurate at all.

Why not use teamspeak you zoomer fag?

>oh no someone has my ip! better reset my router!
vs
>oh no big corp has my data! better kms and lie about my life to avoid being a profitable statistic!

>your IP is visible to anyone
Just use a network with services that mask your IP? Most non-shit networks do
>and everyone who feels like it can rm -rf /
What are you even talking about?

get out retard.

Looks like ass. Have to be tech literate to use it.

Imagine being this much of a brainlet

Is she on TikTok?

Anyone who this discord looks good is too far gone to argue with.

fuck off gaymer retard

how is she transgender?

>what are cloaks
>what are fake hostnames
Is the Discord marketing team getting desperate? Shills seem to be in full force.

Let's be real, nobody after the year 2003 except for the 10 fags on Jow Forums spouting botnet use irc
It's dead

Everybody uses discord and will continue to do so. No need to debate Jow Forums retards.

>Not hosting your own synapse server
Retard.

Discord is only good if you're using it with friends you actually know and meet in real life. Joining a big server or a server about any game or Jow Forums is a big no.

Yes your poorly thought out straw man will encourage people to use the botnet known as Discord.

>>Jow Forums

Your perspective is just that of a normalslime in a normalslime bubble. Plenty of open source projects have IRC as their primary communication channel.

You mean Ventrilo?

>big corp
As opposed to "small corp"?

You can diss irc in public and not get banned. Nobody tries to pretend that irc has any moral standards. The only rule in most irc channels is to not piss off the mods, unlike in some discord channels, where saying 'kys' will get you auto banned.
Also the forced use of text only allows me to not be forced to look at anime profile pictures and anime-related graphic media. (Same applies for all other repulsive groups)

Besides for the desktop client being shit i much prefer telegram to discord

Discord wins out on features and ease of use, though them fucking with betterdiscord is annoying.
>users create mod to improve software
>good devs will embrade mod
>bad devs will block mod and get angry

Being able to use teamspeak is as tech literate as knowing how to boil water for a chef

BASED

Yea I know. But when trying to get people who don't know how to boil water to join it to much of a hassle. Compared to clicking a link

mscord porn when

zoomers used ts desu, i actually prefer it but had to move over to discord when all my friends did

>synapse
That thing is shit and can barely handle a few thousand users on a real server. Dendrite can't come out soon enough.

It has a backdoor afaik, they even mention that somewhere

>use irc instead, sure anybody can log everything
You do know anyone can select text and copy it on Discord. There are even bots and scripts that automate the process and log messages to disk.
>your IP is visible to everyone
Incorrect on most networks. Only the servers and admins can see that. Everyone else sees a munged hostmask. You do reveal your IP if you make a direct connection to someone, like for DCC file transfer.

Lack of echo cancellation, I use speakers.

>you do know anyone can stole your wallet. There are even kids that get paid to do so to automate the process.

This is more likely to happen in an Electron web app with countless vulnerabilities than in a simple program with a text box widget.
