I'm going to install fedora on both my server and my desktop soon. The whole Fedora coreOS thing will be really cool when it comes out in the next release. Good compatibility with KVM is also important. What DE should I use? I'd prefer a good tiling WM that also works well as a floating WM so i can switch when I'm doing different things. If I have a lot of windows open I prefer floating.

Because I want something that works out the box with no fuss.

It's the middle ground between a rolling release with very new packages and something with outdated packages. You have new packages without sacrificing stability.

It has corporate backing and there are paid engineers making it, so it's a well put together and professional os.

Packages on fedora tend to be vanilla unlike Ubuntu where they are tweaked a lot by canonical.

(excluding the one slackwareposter) You are a retard. Fedora splits packages like crazy. This in general means much less shit in your system at an equivalent package count when compared to, say, Arch, the distro notorious for hardly doing any package splitting at all and including lots of bloat in their packages.

I recommend doing a net install and selecting kde if you like kde. Though I rather would install the minimal and then install the kde base components.
Also there's some Potteringware services by default that you can disable to save more ram
