RX 580 is still current gen for AMD, wait for Navi to come out and the gimp to start.

What's up with the vastly different minimum framerate? This indicates very bad frametimes. Could be bad optimization or poor/gimped drivers.

One title. One. And drivers are yet to come.
Based.

So, looks like Vega 64 is finally good?

Not as good as Vega 56.
Reason: Vega 56 uses the same silicon and can be flashed to Vega 64.

Is that only with samsung dies? How hard and risky is it to do?

>Is that only with samsung dies?
Dunno, I haven't bought a Vega 56 to flash myself and thus haven't looked into the specifics.
>How hard and risky is it to do?
About as risky as any BIOS flash I guess. If your power goes out your card becomes a paperweight. As for difficulty I'm sure there are guides you can follow, it's not particularly difficult to flash a new BIOS on a graphics card.

>it's not particularly difficult to flash a new BIOS on a graphics card
cool. I've never tried it, but the price difference between a 64 and 56 seems to be only around $50, so i might just splurge on the 64 to make sure I don't get the hynix memory

What game is this even? Turing looks like it's pulling in some exceptional performance too, what with a 2060 being at 1080 level.

>V56 is ~30% faster than 1070
holy shit

I don't know much about graphics card autism, so what's with the Titan X? I thought it was some sort of super card.

yes, it WAS a super card

Should've gotten a 390 senpai

Poor Titan X Maxwell Owners....

>Top range gpu beats mid range CPU by 4fps

>more powerful new cards perform better than older less powerful cards
that's not shocking. AMD could intentionally gimp older cards running their binary blob driver on Windows, but it's not very likely given that there's also the free open Linux driver and they cant gimp that one. AMD would look pretty silly if benchmarks of the free driver differ wildly on older generation cards.

Regardless, it's valuable to keep an eye on them to make sure they don't gimp older cards. Showing one benchmark comparing new and old card isn't a way to do that. The right way is to compare benchmarks of the same game on the same card over time. There are some benchmarks like that and they seem to show improvements, not gimping, over time.
