I've started helping with a different twine, because it was such a fucking clusterfuck. You probably went in expecting that you wouldn't have to write js, and you were wrong. Sugarcube is fucking worthless for slightly complex games, the guy I helped has everything in a separate variable in the global scope, code repeats in the thousands and so on

Knowing the plot is not enough. Planning ahead as to what make when, and booking the hours for your work is just as important. Read up a little on project management.
