I bought my parents a Nokia smartphone for chrismas two years ago and they still get regulary updates. Will get a Nokia phone soon myself.

They are cheap, they have good hardware and they get regulary updates.

Only thing I am missing is booting from a SD card.

What is the purpose of having more than one camera?

I just wish newer models have removable battery

Its a great indicator of when real innovation and ideas runs out. When 5 (five, count em) cameras rear (+ probably less front, otherwise,screen look like downtown Beirut) is the major 'new' feature selling point, you can safely assume, ACTUAL reasons to upgrade, there be none

It's not completely retarded for people who really really need those pictures. But for everybody else it's just stupid and shows that they are completely out of ideas. What I don't understand is, why can't they launch a single device with a physical slider keyboard instead. I always hated touch screens and I still do and I know that I'm not alone at all. It can't be that hard.

Well it kinda has some advantages. The different cameras can make picture with different settings and this in combination with AI let's you create considerably good images, especially in low light. It's actually quite astonishing what can be done with these. But I really can't tell how many you need until extremely diminishing returns.
