Synthwave as well.
Scandroid is one of my fav's.
Carribean island music.
German military march.
Nostalgic video game music.
This fucking album right here. Neil was a master. He knew.
The dipshit pajeet offshore team fucking things up and the sound of management regretting their decisions
If I really need to focus on my work, which is like 99% of the time, I can't focus with any music or sound playing.
The other 1% I listen to my boy picrel.
>Synthwave
Lazerhawk
Perturbator
Mega Drive
>Ambient/IDM
early Aphex Twin
Boards of Canada
Brian Eno
>Prog house
Deadmau5 (specifically vocal-less, most of 4x4=12)
i listen to alot of edm or anything without lyrics and minimal vocals. something i noticed though is that i will tune the music out while thinking when i get into the 'flow' state.
so idk, i've tried listening to program without listening to music and haven't been able to tell if its better or the same
sissy BBC hypno, of course.
>Synthwave as well plus German military march

Home is a favorite and so is de lorra
Basically, I download the entire electronic gems catalog and listen to it on a loop
how did you download it? every song by song?
I block that out with death industrial and Burt Bacharach.
You can download youtube vids with the audio files stripped.

I guess I am behind popular trends but I guess that's more of a stormfrend thing.
I just thought the usage was pretty good in that post.

Nothing. I actually think then I program.
aplay
Every single time read vaporwave as vaporware
Dark Ambient
I assume you're being obtuse - but you change that slightly to
aplay -f dat
Whenever I don't actually need to get it done right, I'll usually program with sort of a pop/rock/alt-rock/other kind of thing, with older Radiohead, half•alive, Muse, Death Grips, Highly Suspect, and Nothing But Thieves.
When I need to get shit done, I'll either hit up the soundtrack to Mr Robot (haven't seen past Season 1 yet but the music is good), Sicario, or Dead Space. If I'm not in the soundtrack mood, I'll grab a more post-rock feel and lean towards Radiohead's album "A Moon-Shaped Pool", Civil Twilight, alt-j, Son Lux, Oh Hiroshima, We Lost The Sea, and other similar bands.
Man I just listen to some weeb shit like Moe Shop.
J-Core, speedcore, electronic trap, denpa, Vocaloid, heavy metal, punk rock, assorted ironic weeaboo bullshit in general.
If you aren't listening to ambient or IDM, you aren't a real one.
all these try-hard genres in here, jfc. no wonder this board just sits around all day ricing their shitty linux builds
I like you taste. Link me something?

I get what they were going for but this is way too bitcrunched for my tastes.
add some late night jazz like john abercrombie, paul desmond or john coltrane to the mix and you'll get as comfy as you can get.
brown noise with a podcast or stand-up comedy playing over it.
Fake and gay, sage
I usually listen to Jazz.
Recently a lot of Bill Evans, Roy Hargrove, and Eric Dolphy
These albums have been in heavy rotation:
- Bill Evans - Alone
- Roy Hargrove - Earfood
- Eric Dolphy - Live at the Five Spot Vol 2
- Fingerpainting
underrated
industrial metal
Classical, mainly Violin Concertos.
I like vaporwave too desu.
Sound Station and Artzie Music on youtube have gotten me through a lot of projects
Techno
I listen to the sound of my gay lover's mouth going up and down my cock.
dojin music

lolicore
Whatever music I wanna listen to. Favorite artists to listen to currently are Akino Arai, Fullkawa Honpo, Death Grips, Swans, Tatsuro Yamashita, and if I just want something in the background I'll put on this youtu.be
Others would include Bill Evans, the JSRF soundtrack, Mellow Fellow, Mori Yuni, Milton Nascimento, Julia Holter. I tend to listen to music in languages I don't understand, or instrumentals, or if in English something somewhat soothing, since I find that language can be distracting. There are exceptions obviously but it's a rule of thumb.
7 of those links are dead
Oh shit I forgot to mention Josephine Foster youtu.be
redpilled and devilish
Look at Mr. Thinker over here. Too good for music. No one cares.
I too like getting schwifty while coding
I just listen to music without lyrics. External words mess with my thoughts.

Postrock, Ambient, Synthwave, chiptunes, whatever is quiet enough and has no vocals as to not distract me. At the moment, I love pic related.
I listen to dead meow five for almost 10 years, never gets boring.
