Try to prove me wrong, pro tip: you can't. Even zoomers can use it because it doesn't have autism.
Wire for Android is the best privacy messaging app

Uninstalled.
I'll stick to discord and whatsapp even if they're botnet. Or even better, Signal.
>Wire keeps asking for your phone number in e-mails if you didn't register it
The absolute state
Nah, use xmpp with omemo if you want privacy and control.
I just use Whatsapp because I'm not a retard.
Can you provide a link or something I can't find XMPP or omemo
botnet

Needs play services for notification delivery and delivering messages in background.
Doesn't encrypt metadata.
Company keeps a list of your contacts until you delete your account.
But at least it's much better than Signal and Telegram.
>Wire keeps asking for your phone number in e-mails if you didn't register it
It doesn't, you retard.
He means PixArt. But don't use XMPP, it's a dead protocol which is basically "email as instant messaging". It doesn't have calls of any kind and is just for texting or sending files. The desktop clients are all utter garbage. Matrix protocol (Riot.im / miniVector) is much better.
Thanks! Does it work on iOS too?
No it doesn't and every time I try to convince a normie friend to use Chat Secure on iOS so we can chat it never fucking works for them. I'm in Ausfagland and most dumb cunts here use iPhone, so the best I can hope for is that they will use Signal.
>Chat Secure on iOS so we can chat it never fucking works for them.
Too bad. I'll try anyways with mine but if it doesn't work we'll have to go with either Wire or Signal.
WhatsApp is still the best, no contest. Ignore the autistic spergs on Jow Forums the stuff they use is the norm for DRUG DEALERS or PEDOPHILES. I heavily doubt you're either of those
I tried the Wire desktop client in Debian and my DE's tiling can't tile the window like it does with every other window. There's also no way to adjust the conversation list part smaller so it doesn't take half the screen. Looks like there was not much though put into this. At least Telegram can make the contact list to be just icons so they take less space, even though it still has those ugly conversation bubbles that take space needlessly and cannot be modified from the settings.
>ricing cuck
yikes
I have a 12" Thinkpad and I only use instant messaging applications with 50% of the screen space. If the contact list takes half of that then there's not much space left for the conversation itself.
The best reading experience I've had has still been IRC with Irssi. Nothing to steal my precious screen area with stuff I don't need to see all the time. Too bad modern protocols all want to contain the text inside speech bubbles that take like two rows extra in every message. I only want to see the conversation with tight spaces and be able to swap to a different conversation with a key combo.
Literally just Riot.im but inferior in every way.
Could have at least said something with actual privacy like FSF approved Jami...
I'll back myself up if asked
I was baiting but your post is a very valid and satisfying point of view.
Wrong. Wire is centralised. Just use the Matrix protocol with e2ee.
What's the comfiest Linux desktop client for Matrix?
Discord IM.
