How's that FBI spying working out for you?
psst
discord isn't an irc client
what you meant to say is, use irssi niggers
There is actually no reason not to use Hexchat in 2019 unless your a faggot boomer
samefag
why does irssi leak your hostname and username by default?
>Discord fags think IRC leaks your ip address
>Completely oblivious to the fact that everything they say or type on Discord is logged
I think you don't understand how irc works
lots of irc networks don't apply masks by default. it "leaks your ip" by design. still more usable than discord in my opinion.
I use chatango :)
>botnet

wut?
use matrix/riot.
>decentralized
>federated
>voice/video chat

>run your own servers if you want
>multiple clients available

Based Khaled! Grabbed it.
more information on matrix/riot? riot.im looks like someone else's server, is there something I can run on my own local server?
>IRC
do boomers really do this in the current year?
we run this place you faggot zoomer, get used to it and enjoy no retirement, haha faggot.
>not being on irc in 2019
i feel so so sorry for you
>still being on IRC
I feel sorry for you. I quit that shit in the late 90s.
Can someone give me a quick rundown on running an IRC server?
fpbp
super ancient protocol with tons of vulnerabilities that require various clients also with tons of vulnerabilties
>protocol with tons of vulnerabilities
What vulnerabilities can a protocol for exchanging text even have?
The only protocols I can even conceive of having vulnerabilities are things like cryptographic key exchanges where a flaw in the spec leads to secrecy leakage.
google 'exploits 101'
So you have no idea either then.
