Why do you keep using that stupid giant metal thing called pendrive to store your stuff when you can just use a microSD up to 16GB, which is the size of a pin that works the same?

They should literally stop making them and start using microsd.

> be me
> have a lot of important 2g files
> I will make a backup
> my prendrive is busy
> I do not know where to save my data
> I remember the 16gb microsd of my phone
> I use an adapter and I move my files there
> literally everything works
> think how is it that nobody is using these miniature things to replace the pendrives

>doesn't have a 3-2-1 backup solution

get your shit together

>be me
>use phone as flashdrive
>copy presentation to teacher's computer
>shitty Sandisk U2 software or whatever auto installed from the previous team syncs all my demotivators and displays them on the projector
Thank you for that memory.

>called pendrive
it's actually a zip disquette

for multiple reasons:
1. Most computers don't have microSD card reader
2. Microsd cards are much more likely to break in two parts than a flash drive due to their shape
3. USB drivers are cheaper than microSD cards
4. My flashdrive is already too small and I'm always loosing it, and you want me to carry something EVEN SMALLER?!!!

drives*

slow as shit and not as standard as usb

MicroSD comes in 256GB size now, probably more, I haven't checked recently

im gonna say it

THEY ARE TOO DAMN SMALL

i have a couple of 256gb cards for my DAP. I had to swap one on a windy pier the other day. It gave me more anxiety than i was comfortable with.

MicroSD is slower.

MicroSD have some really bad random speeds.

Don't get me wrong, though, I do use them. They're not the final solution, though.

>They should literally stop making them and start using microsd.
You should literally stop posting. Do you know what use cases are you fucking tard?

MicroSD is so fucking slow, even usb flash drives are fucking slow.

I just use cheap SSDs in a USB3.1/type C enclosure and enjoy multiple megabytes of transfer speed.

you can't build pendrive into a wall

fuck
i meant sd card

Exhibit A of why microsd is the best.

You can get an adapter that makes it a regular usb.

exhibit b of why microsd cards are superior. You can put them in your wallet

Exhibit c. Baseball card books can hold a huge number of microsd cards

MicroSD cards are too small to trust anything important to them. I've had several cases where I dropped one on the floor and only found it weeks later if at all. I bet I've sucked some up with vacuum.

Make sure your dick doesn't go up the vacuum

The final solution to the data storage question will be a zyklon based cloud I think...

Those things are so small you'll just lose it, I know I would.
Sometimes I wish USB sticks were actually a bit bigger. Then again, must USB ports are too close to each other so sticks can't be any bigger.

You will not experience loss.
Mine is like 6 years old now... still haven't lost it.
It has actually been angering to see how much the prices have dropeed for it.

It's called a flash mass storage memory plus USB interface

Speed and durability is worse on microSD

Why do you keep using that stupid giant metal thing called 3.5 inch HDD?

>usb drive
i remember those, still got a 512M one around here somewhere

It's actually a flash-based permanent storage + flash controller + USB-attached SCSi interface

I bought a usb3 Gorilladrive years ago and threw it on my keychain with 1st-world vital stuff on it. While the cloud has failed me many times, it hasn't.

Guy posting big bang theory memes reinforces the most obvious falsehood we learned in school. Really makes you think

>Pendrive
You mean zip disquettes?

>called pendrive
literally no one calls it that

>pendrive
>drives the pen
