Dir is the best and most minimal file manager.
Simple file manager was kinda shit but still minimal and good
Why does a file manager need Google play services and widi access desu?
MiXplorer
Ghost Commander always been the best
Multi tabs, every command that exists, thumbnails, network file systems support etc
Just disable them bro
btw I use Zarchiver
what's the most simple file manager with ftp support?
None of you cucks using total commander
Ads, maybe?
I really like Solid File Explorer even though its paid, but you can just download a cracked apk anyway. I did that until it was on sale for 0.99. It has root, ftp, smb, cloud, everything you would need, and a very customizable interface.
Network access for the cloud plugin and Google Play billing for donations

Last updated on fdroid like 2 months ago. What's the problem?
root Explorer bro
just get an apk of a pre botnet version of es file explorer
pic related is v4.0.2.3 and been comfy for years
Why the fuck isn't there a standard file explorer with the OS?
There is howtogeek.com
I have an icon called files in my app drawer to open it not sure if that's a custom ROM or android 9 feature
You got malware. My amaze downloaded from fdroid doesn't have google play permissions.
LineageOS doesn’t have this problem
see
FX
clean, simple on the surface, feature rich if you dig through settings.
LineageOS can't install apps by default because their file manager is retarded and forces you to move them to the user's root directory.
LineageOS has shit default apps overall.
Amaze is free software..
Find out what the permissions are needed for or fork it without said permissions.
second this
Not only is it free software, but it's on fdroid. The source code of every app on fdroid is audited by them, and then they compile it themselves or make some changes and then rerelease it.
For example, they've removed the auto update feature from clover on the fdroid builds but it's present in the dev builds from github.
MK Explorer just werks
