After extensive research on otaku image boards, I've come to the conclusion that BSD>Linux. But which BSD is best BSD (for desktops)?

Free BSD seems to be the most popular/searched for/used. Is there a reason why it's not recommended?

In short: It's used a lot in servers and has been used as the base for a lot of device specific OS.
But as a desktop OS it's not that great, and if you have a machine that uses an architecture outside of the mainstream there's practically no software to install as binaries (they call this tier 2 IIRC).

>go to FreeBSD conference
>everyone is using Mac OS X
>go to OpenBSD hackathon
>everyone is running the OS they develop on their ThinkPads

So all derivatives of FreeBSD (trueOS, trident) are also cucked? Except maybe dragonfly?

Info is from a poll that allowed multiple options IIRC

BSD isn't a usable OS unless you are cucked.

Its a development platform for proprietary software.

Kek

There is something nostalgic about this art-style but I don't know to explain it.

What makes you say that?

Why not?

which is a good thing for people who are not neets

Windows seems to be the most popular/searched for/used. Is there a reason why it's not recommended?

No it isn't.
BSD isn't very usable beyond developing software you want to monetize. I.E. nobody actually fucking uses it and the people that do are using proprietary shit because they are too stupid to use free software.

Its a clustercuck.

Windows is popular because it is familiar easy to use for normies. FreeBSD and derivatives must be popular for a better reason.

DragonflyBSD.
Especially with new multi-core CPUs.

What does Dragonfly have to utilise multi-core?

>What does Dragonfly have to utilise multi-core?
It was forked from FreeBSD specifically to implement proper multi-CPU support.

Windows is all y'all need. It's safe, secure, reliable, and protects ya from dark web identity theift, and lastly they'll keep the hackers from hack'in ya.
