I've upgraded from Debian 4 to 8 without issues. Just one upgrade straight from 7 to 10 was a pain in the ass and caused all sorts of trouble.

less bloat, LTSB uses around 800mb on the first boot while LTSC eats 1.3gb on the first boot
goysoft noticed that people started using LTSB so they added up botnet to it, of course the goy cannot enjoy things.
LTSB is rock solid stable

Yes LTSC from 2018 but as other user say is more bloated and I use version from that link. You have security updates but no new functions till new version of LTSB/C which came every three years I think
