Soundcard.

Well yeah most motherboards come with sound cards by default already

And they don't suck major dicks anymore.
On the single core era, onboard soundcards were absolutely terrible due being basically software emulations of the real deal, and getting the sound all choppy and bad as soon the CPU had any sort of hiccup.
They're probably still software emulations, but with multicore CPUs, the sound driver can just hop to a not as bogged down CPU.

Eh, the entire idea of front add-on drives is obsolete now that optical discs are obsolete. Even hard drive cages are an endangered species. All you need is an SSD; if you need more space, bolt an HDD to the bottom of the case. The only front add-on I'd consider using would be a card reader, but they generally suck anyway and it's easier to get a USB one. I say just buy a shorter case without any bullshit at the front.

You mean back in the days of barebones AC '97 shitchips kek, Realtek ushered in the cheap HD audio codec chip, partially emulated, partially accelerated on the chip. Of course it didn't help that Creative was jewing the competition in every way possible at the time either.

I bought a Floppy Drive about 10 years ago for a system I was building at the time. I installed it at first, but then permanently uninstalled it a few years later because I never used it.
Looked great though.
