i could get behind like op's pic rel if it folds into a 5 in. screen, otherwise foldable phones are a meme and not to be given attention

Why are all the android vr video players garbage?

Because VR is garbage as well and it should've never been tried on smartphones to begin with.

but muh porn

is lg v20 the best thing if i want a replacable battery?

yes, also czech'd

all batteries are replaceable, especially if you are a real Jow Forums

It shows the app icon, but you still have to wake or unlock to see the contents.

>no worthwhile ROMs
>CHINKED ui
>no headphone jack
Why would anyone buy this over the 6?

Attached: bgr-oneplus-6t-1.jpg (1500x1000, 309K)

Is Sony killing their small phone line? XA3 looks xbawks hueg

Should I preorder the S10?

(((xiaomi)))

XZ1 Compact or XZ2 Compact? Or, should I wait for the MWC in case any announcements or prospective price drops happen?

Terrible.

Which are the most low cost flagship?

convince me not to buy the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro ZB602KL, all I need is good battery, memory, decent camera and that's it.

the other choice would be the old Google Pixel or Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra H4213

What's your budget?

200-400, Just want the cheapest option with 64GB memory, 4gb ram, decent camera and battery that isn't huawei or xiaomi

Does the HTC U11 have a home button you can press down or is it solid?

Limited LTE bands if in burgerland.

>that isn't huawei or xiaomi
Why? Asus is SEA as well.
If you want to stick to american, than the vivo xl4 is the best unused american you'll get for the cheapest.

I'm from Europe, I just had a Huawei and didn't really enjoy it and Xiaomi seems sketchy to me with many issues, what would you recommend between the 3 I mentioned? Google pixel seems alright. I won't be playing games or anything so it's not a concern to me

>Camera(mp not lens/aperture/processing etc.)
xperia(lens too) > zenfone > pixel
>Processor(raw power)
pixel > xperia > zenphone

Xperia battery is meh.
Pixel has no headphone jack and you can't put in an sd card.
Zenphone is pretty weak phone

Just get a huaweii or xiaomi if your price range is that low.
Otherwise get a used phone.

>all batteries are replaceable, especially if you are a real Jow Forums
Fuck Samsung S6 though. Battery is glued to the screen frame while the screen frame is glued to the mid frame in the corners. What an ass of a phone to repair.

>Pixel has no headphone jack
I'd be buying the pixel xl and I've read it has an audio jack and good camera? I don't really need a really good powerful phone, just something that won't break fast and I don't trust huawei/xiaomi

Are there any modern 6" 16:9 phones worth purchasing? I use my phone to read manga a lot, so longer aspect ratios are actively fucking up what I want to do with my shit. The only other things I do with my phone are watch youtube and twitch and browse social media.

The Mate 10 looks pretty good, but I'm wanting to spend somewhere closer to the range of $200-$250 ameribucks.

>Xaiomi Mix 2s coming "tomorrow"
>snow and sleet all day
>tomorrow is more of the same
>meanwhile my moto g4 cant hold much of a charge like it used to and many games lag the fuck up during high particle density situations
Epis and Mirianne died because Frey's Shield was late.

It's nice, i like it.

Is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 available for the USA (at least work with at&t's 4G LTE), or will there be an official release coming soon?

What is sketchy about Xiaomi?

Also, did you try putting a ROM of your choice in your huawei?

holy fuck watching him bend that phone gave me the same feeling as watching that one video of a dude putting a worm in his penis

Just compare the bands?

Official release is kinda unlikely. The Redmis are something you import from China if you want them.

too dumb to unlock the bootloader
maybe I should get the poco then? I keep seeing so many people complaining about it, google pixel or even nokia 7.1 or 8 in my mind would just be the safer choice. Why is the zenfone that bad? im not good at tech stuff but the tech specs look similar to the others to me

>at&t's 4G LTE
ha
no nonbranded phones support at&t's bands except pixel, oneplus, and some huawei models, and even then only the pixel gets volte and wifi calling.

should I just buy the OnePlus 6T already?

My work gave me an iPhone 5s to use after my LG G4 shit the bed. I fucking hate it. iOS is trash, and the phone is fucking tiny.
What would you recommend for a chinkphone comparable in power to an LG G4, ideally for around $200 USD or less. I use T-Mobile if it matters.

Can anyone recommend any good F1 cases? Preferably something that also covers the screen

I guess what I really want to know is whether there is a global version of the phone out soon.
Do all American xiaomi users have t mobile or something?

idk probably. I bet a lot of xiaomi flagships dont even support american bands

...

If privacy is considered, what phone should I buy? I hear Android is open source, except for the manufacturer parts, are there still ones that have their manufacturer custom shit also open? Is vanilla android then the most privacy respecting? Would be kinda ironic that google itself sells that with the pixels. I know one of the biggest compromises comes from using google services and not the OS itself, but if there is something in the OS would like to know also. I guess I could just install LineageOS, but if I really need some app from play store, does LineageOS with gapps then make a difference compared to vanilla android? How iPhone compare to Android in this category?

Then if you or anyone here can help me find a new phone that fits my needs and budget, here they are:

>US
>AT&T
>Budget: good camera
>great battery life
>headphone jack is a plus
>preferably uses type-C

I will mainly use my phone for basic apps and casual use. What I would like to upgrade from my current phone is the camera quality and battery life. I don't play games on my phone at all.

so how long before apple copies this phone and everyone rushes to claim they totally just invented it?

Don't forget it would cost 2000$ and would clasp itself around your neck and strangle you if you tried to jailbreak it

LG V35 or V40. Brand new on ebay usually go for like 400
alternatively you can wait for rumored Pixel 3 lite coming out. It will have midrange specs probably and around the same price (or 100 bucks more maybe) but it'll get updated longer and ship with pie. I've heard googles QC is less than great though. I'm in the same boat as you so feel free to ask me anything, I might be able to help

What if I have the same priorities as that guy, but I use T-Mobile and want to spend less than $250?

Wait at this point

Capacitive, no click

XA2 Ultra

Any specific reason why those two phones are the best choices for me? I don't tend to look for LG phones, and I don't fully trust ebay for this sort of thing.

Don't listen to the other user, Xiaomi phones do work on AT&T. Some models like Mi A2/A2 Lite or Redmi Note 5/6 Pro only have partial support, so your mileage may vary with the coverage you get, but Mi Mix 2S and Mi8 support all the important frequencies:
kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/US/xiaomi-mi-mix-2s
kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/US/xiaomi-mi8

>maybe I should get the poco then?
Yes

Moto X4 is on sale currently, $199 for the 64gb model

Mi8, Mix 2, Mix 2S and Mix 3 all support American bands, Mix 2/2S/3 work even on Verizon

I'm on AT&T, so I'm not familiar with T-Moble budget options and I don't want to give you bad advice. sorry
Those phones have flagship specs and full AT&T functionality. the v35 is even AT&T exclusive. All the bands, volte and wifi calling. I tend to not trust ebay as well, but just make sure the seller has a good rep and accepts returns. Also don't fall for new (other), spend the extra 50 bucks or so for a brand new device (just my suggestion)
He won't get volte or wifi calling with a xiaomi phone on at&t.

Use LineageOS without gapps, sideload all the apps you need.

>He won't get volte or wifi calling with a xiaomi phone on at&t
Literally no phone that isn't sold directly by AT&T gets volte or wifi calling. Doesn't seem to be an issue for most people.

>Moto X4 is on sale
Is it any good? I hate how rounded it looks, and the screen has huge black bars at the top and bottom. I could overlook that if the phone is actually worth a damn.

I thought most people would want full functionality out of their device

ebay.com/itm/LG-V30-H931/192754614996

It's a decent phone for the price. If you can spend a little more consider the LG V30

That looks good to me. I really want the blue color, and that seller is sold out.

gsmarena.com/xiaomi_mi_mix_2s-9067.php
he the heck is gsmarena conducting their battery endurance tests? mi mix 2s is running flagship specs and only scored 59 hours.

I can only see the black and silver colors going cheap on eBay

Selph Control

That's fine I guess. I'm going to use a case anyways.
Thanks for the recommendation. I will order one tomorrow.

I'm fairly certain it's just a case of them having a buggy phone during testing, in other battery tests it scores better:
notebookcheck.net/Xiaomi-Mi-Mix-2S-Smartphone-Review.305878.0.html#toc-battery-life-enduring-and-quickly-recharged

If you check the GSMarena review they even wrote the following:
>Disclaimer: These are not the results we were expecting - the screen-off ones at least. Standby battery draw was unusually high for this combination of chipset and battery capacity. This could be due to running early software on our Chinese review unit. We shall retest this once we are able to get a final retail unit for the intended market.

>Are there any modern 6" 16:9 phones worth purchasing

If the LTE bands work in your country try the ZTE Nubia z18, very tiny bezels and cheap as fuck, good processor.

It's a chinkphone tho, but it's getting traction in XDA, they are gonna develop a Lineage os

just got my poco in the mail now. charging it and gonna update it and then we'll see. can recommend for sub 300 eur desu. 10/10 so far. its really nice

If we're talking flagship specs/build, Pocophone F1, then Oneplus 6, and probably LG's latest.

where do you recommend downloading apk's, if the publisher doesn't guide you anywhere? I found one I need from apkpure, is that trustworthy?

Attached: u8nygs8026oy.jpg (800x1200, 148K)

Yalp store or APKmirror

what about aptoide?

Xiaomi Mi9 will be announced Feb 20

Attached: xiaomi_feb_20.png (872x1572, 1.23M)

Also good

Sony Xperia XA2 ultra or ZenFone Max Pro m2 or Nokia 7.1/8?

I bought a mate20 yesterday but I'm feeling that I should have gone with the p20pro which were equally priced. Did I make a mistake?

Pocophone

fuck you

Poco?

i dont want a stupid pocophone ihate the name and i hate stupid xiaomi, I WANT the XPERIA or the ASus and you should tell me which one to get

you should get the Pocophone

no

Thanks user, can you elaborate?

what if I get screen tearing and bleeding and lag or it burns or the chinks spy on me?

It does indeed, great phone.

Mine came with the front mic dead on arrival, and the Amazon versions have no bootloader unlock. Otherwise it's pretty good.

How much fucked will I be in Spain (LTE bands 800, 1800 and 2600) if I get a chinkphone with only the band 1800?

It supports all the other 3G and 2G bands
