Has anyone ever released a piece of hardware as insulting as this one?

Has anyone ever released a piece of hardware as insulting as this one?

>3 years after the gtx 1080
>same performance as a gtx 1080
>same price as a gtx 1080

The fact that this card even exists makes me want to punch Jensen in the face.

>2 years after the gtx 1070 Ti

>2 GB less VRAM just to fuck your ass in a few years when games utilize more VRAM

The fact that this card even exists makes me want to punch Jensen in the face.

Holy fucking shit man. You're not actually defending 2 GB less VRAM, are you? Anyone with a quarter of a brain can tell that something like that will fuck you down the road.

>nobody needs more than 3.5GB VRAM anyway

The 2060 is the only decent thing they released so far. 1070 ti performance for cheaper. But of course scamvidia had to gimp the vram.

or you can buy a used 1080ti for $500 instead. Better performance and more vram. Only retards think used mining cards will have a performance impact.

Vega VII

where?

Even @ 4K it's not an issue Jesus fuck

>But of course scamvidia had to gimp the vram.

You cant have the 2060, 2070 and 2080 all have the same amount.

Thats not how the hierarchy works.

Complete waste of money, less performance than a 2080 for the same money.

And no real time ray tracing tech.

DOA.

Vega isn't insulting. It's just incompetence. They can't make it cheaper. I don't even think they're making any profit off it.

>DX12 and RTX in battlefield gobbling up VRAM
>release of future consoles in

NO

Heres a real life issue for you.

I had a 2080 Ti out for RMA.

I bought a 2080 from bestbuy.

I used the 2080 to play Apex legends and had the game set to the 8GB setting.

First game was always good, sometimes second. But always, without fail, suddenly on the start of subsequent games, the FPS would tank down to the 40's and low 50's in while in the drop ship.

Usually it was around 70+ fps.

I saw GPU-Z was showing VRAM maxed out, but that was fine because it was on the 8GB setting.

I get my 2080 Ti back from RMA and guess what? NO ISSUES, and on the same setting the god damn game (Apex) was gobbling down 9 fucking GIG of VRAM.

I literally ran out of VRAM on the 2080 @ 1440P maxed. Even though the 8GB insane option was selected.

VRAM issues are real and will only get worse as time goes on.

>apex legends
zoomers.

but srsly - i keep hearing about the RMA for 2080s

I've been saying this.
Entire RTX lineup is a total joke except 2080ti.
2080 = 1080ti
2070 = 1080
2060 = 1070 / 1070ti
1660ti = rx590?

1070ti and vega 56 are cheaper than 2060 in my country
why would i ever buy a 2060?

The 2080ti might as well not exist for the majority of people for that price. It's cool if you're loaded I guess. You get a slight improvement over the 1080ti for double the price 2 years later. Great.

>the FPS would tank down to the 40's and low 50's in while in the drop ship.
people assume that's a driver problem with RTX cards on Apex Legends but i think Nvidia would've patched it already if true

i'd rather buy 2x 1080ti's than this overpriced turd with 2 FUCKING GAYMES for raytracing.

Muh raytracing

>sli
good goy

>beta tester for unfinished and unpolished gimmick
yeah, you're a Beta through and through

But both are faster on every bench...

>playing games

>Thats not how the hierarchy works.

I'm reading that retail box as PUKE.

One defends you the others stop at nothing to destroy you, who do you choose?

ITT: People thinking RTX cards are for gaming.

I thought people in first world countries are rich?

it's obvious nvidia is following the exact same strategy as apple

just look at their new fucking reference cards they look exactly like something apple would have designed

we are never ever going back to pre 2016 computing. $500 entry gpus by 2025

Even amd fans knows the sad truth to this.

>.
the radeon vii is a workstation card, amd being the faggots they are though tried to market it as a gaming card

as a fp64 card it rapes the 2080 ti over 500% but as a gaming card no idea why it exists

I don't know what's with MSI, they either release some of the best or the worst models available.

And people will still buy that $500 entry level GPU in droves because the marketing brainwashing is complete.
Every gamer wants GeForce. Every popular streamer uses GeForce. Every popular tech reviewer on youtube shows GeForce as much as possible. It's ubiquitous and to most everyone outside of Jow Forums, it's the only option. Not even Intel will be able to break people away from the GeForce trance.

>Has anyone ever released a piece of hardware as insulting as this one?
Yeah, basically every AMD GPU in the past couple of years.

>2019
>literally not a single higher-end GPU worth buying
guess I'll stick with RX470 for a while
