I use a 20 euro class d amp to power my kef reference 101.
Hiss is not a problem. Really.
What am I missing? Why should I buy a more expensive amp?

recommend a great audio interface dac with 2 channels for recording

What is the endgame speakers setup? I have the hiss meme and I've been saving up(20k) for the final audio solution.

For me, it's the HD600.

Are Micca's still good for budget bookshelf speakers?

As usual, I can't find dedicated midranges and specs reee

What are you looking for babe

Rough outline is a PA style mid, 5 to 6.5-inch frame. "Efficiency" above 90dB 1W/1M.

I don't have much information on PA drivers, things such as distortion level and directivity.
Home audio drivers are normally much less sensitive. Most home drivers are designed for midbass, trading sensitivity for bass.

>PA style mid
Are you looking for just a driver or a whole speaker?

would you guys get a used Yamaha RX-V675 or a Onkyo TX-NR 575?

Important features: phono in, 4k video support, 4 ohm impedance speaker support.

Lots of love!

Onkyo new, would be around 120 € more

>just a driver

is this ok for video editing, movies and computer general with edifier bookshelves?

Ever thought of using a compression driver?

Some chink may or may not forgot to do protection circuit QC so you are just playing lottery imo.

I REALLY love when the Subwoofers are bigger than the main speakers.
How deep are they expected to go?

tfw sound so good that you can't stop floating to space-ambient

My new sub looks so small compared to those.

How small is your new sub? Anything less than 15" is just a waste

10'
But I don't think I listen any louder than 70 dB at my position, so I really don't care. Need to setup it properly though.

Going to get a headphone amp for my pc and then a nice dac later on. Will there be any issue if I connect the new amp to the 3.5 jack if my mobo already has an amp built in?

On most integrated soundcards you can switch between headphone-amp and line-out.
Only real issue you can run into is running too high of a voltage into the amp, so just start at a low output volume and you'll be fine.

Thanks. Would this be an option that would pop up with the amp plugged in? I'm not certain if I can turn off the built in amp on mine since it doesn't show up on the realtek control panel nor the bios. Z97-PRO GAMER is the mobo for reference. Sorry for all the questions. New to audio stuff.

If you right-click on the headphone output in the Realteks controlpanel you don't get the option to choose between headphone and line out?

Horns.
Goto, ALE, avant-garde, Western Electric if you want to go OG.

Genelec 8351 and spend the rest on acoustics

I get the option to switch between headphones and speakers. Guess the speaker option would be a general line out sans amp?

Yeah, as computer speakers tends to be powered

Tested it out and it seems to be able to drive my 58X as much as the headphone setting. I'll look more into it since I'm still worried about the amp being active but I appreciate the advice. Guess I could also use the audio passthrough from my monitor in case.

Addendum. Planning on using the amp to drive some hungry headphones I'm going to get. I'll be sure to have the volume on the amp set to 0 at first and work up from there.

I wounder what the madlads at JBL will replace the DD67000 with in the future.

I have an audio Technica AT2020 mic and a Behringer UM2. I get noise in the background when I have the mic gain set to

Looks way too small for "ultimate setup" desu. Maybe if you add a few subs.

Yeah, Genelecs 15" sub for both channel would be perfect :)

And larger speaker too. Definitely at least a 1237-size speaker for "ultimate" setup (if talking about genelec).

Can you listen to these songs for me user?

Looking to upgrade from my 15 years old basic speakers.
Presonus E5 or Rokit RP5 G3?
Also, I need an audio interface to plug them?

I don't record or anything.

what are some good value bookshelf speakers? I was considering KRK Rokits, but they'd be for listening, not production, so perhaps Edifiers may be as good for less?

>Gotos
Why don't more people know about them?

I've only heard about them before, I found that picture while searching for pictures of JBL DD67000

Check your cables first maybe? Or maybe even change them.

I wanted a wider coverage pattern and a lower x-over point. Difficult for most compression horns, other than a few large bank-shriveling units.

They can do 15-17 Hz

>taking loans to buy speakers

Don't buy S(c)h(i)it.

But is your room big enough to do that down to that point?

I liked the second one the best. Could meditate to it

What kind of cable do I need to buy to connect these two speakers together. Wound something with searching "terminal 2 pin" but no cable.

12'x28'

Playing Bass I Love You definitely shakes the walls and couch except for the very lowest 7Hz note. Not enough moving displacement for that

pls respond

is it possible to identify which piece of hardware is causing the noise just by listening to it? Like will noise caused by an interface be more high pitched or something, or can I tap on the XLR cable to introduce noise?

You can check a frequency of the noise and it might give you a clue on where to look.

Honestly, I'd just find the local electronic cable store like Jaycar (if ausfag and you have a penis) which will have specialists focusing on those things. They helped me in similar pickles.

i literally use earbuds and my internal mobo sound card and i could never be more satisfied.
outside of being a hobbyist, why did you take up the audiophile stuff?

Here's the noise I'm getting
vocaroo.com/i/s0ZCYH3atmCM

From about 1-2 seconds you hear both the noise as well as some air passing near the mic from a vent (gain is about 40% on my interface), but from 3-4 seconds the gain is 0% and you hear the noise only which never changes volume no matter how high or low I set the gain.

Now, my guess is that since the sound does not get louder or quieter with gain adjustment means that it is not a problem with the input device but rather the interface itself. Also it's not really a static noise sound, it's sort of like a "wobble" or however you'd describe that

You would have to hear it to fully understand. Not a meme answer either

This is exactly what my phone records when taking video in a very quiet area. I'd assume it's hardware relates

When your cheap Sennheiser Momentums sound better than your 300 € Beyedynamics and you can't go back to its bland sound.

just got an edifier 1700bt new for 120 burgers, pretry good

Do you listen to music as background or stop all other activities and just listen to music?

Thanks, going to visit my local kramer shop and see if they sell those for a normal price.
