Then 10nm+++++++++ until 2050

What are you laughing at? Thats plenty enough to fly a starship. I'd be making fun of the fact they're still using steam turbines to generate power.

>"""leaks""" say it's delayed to october
>"""leaks""" say it's in july

Knowing AMD it will launch in 2020

Attached: mmmh.png (512x512, 266K)

>AMD just launched a $700 GPU that is relatively equal to the 2080
>they're going to undercut themselves by that much

If the 3080 exceeds the performance of the Vega64, it'll be $400+. You'd have to be a fucking moron to think they'd sell it for less.

$250 for their flagship card? In your fucking dreams.

i think they are adorable.
they still believe, that they can leave the dome.

there's no "flagship" you nerd first navi release is midrange it will replace the polaris lineup

high end navi will be next year

Raja a shit. Go back to making your shit bollywood movies.

Didn't Ryzen 3000 and Navi launch at CES? Why are they launching them again?

Attached: drumpf.jpg (1200x1520, 463K)

Just you wait, for NAVI.
This time for sure.

Whoa, can't wait to open even more Jow Forums tabs in Icecat. I'm going to be so productive.

I thought Ryzen 3000 was going to be launched in June at Computex? Delayed again?

Thats limited by RAM not by CPU

what will come first?
- year of the linux desktop
- a competitive AMD product

Makes you wonder why Jow Forums would shill AMD products and talk about """Productivity""", doesn't it?

STFU

Attached: just had enough.png (342x356, 136K)

Neither tbqh

The latter.
The former will never come. RIP Linux. There's hope in better designs (3rd gen microkernel and multiserver, like genode with seL4).

Attached: 1525483257891.png (1920x1080, 1.13M)

What an aggressive naming scheme. I hope they don't do that.

>7xx
>9xx
>10xx
>20xx
>16xx
Nvidia deserver it for their own inconsistent naming.

>~1080
*sigh* Wow, Glad they've caught up with early 2017 for a mainline card. -_-'

>- a competitive AMD product
I just upgraded to 2700X

7xx to 9xx just means it's two generations worth of increased performances
10xx to 20xx is probably because this is not supposed to be GTX anymore
Not what I'd call too consistent, but Radeon names have been all over the place since the acquisition of ATI.

*2016

>but Radeon names have been all over the place

>Zen+ is gen 2
>Zen 2 is gen 3
>Box says Ryzen 7

DELID

>10xx to 20xx is probably because this is not supposed to be GTX anymore
I think it's probably because they want the first digit in the model number to denote the generation, though if they actually go with a 1660 or some shit that will be a real head-scratcher.

Vega 64 was already 1080 territory. If the leaks are true, it could be a lot better when inhibitors such as TDP target are removed.
Yes, I'm doing typical AMDrone hopeposting.
Those are just internal names. 1800 to 2800 to 3800 are the actual names.

I'm gonna buy a navi, because it's called navi. Hopefully the linux support doesn't completely suck.

Linux support will probably be fine but as with new cards in general I would expect you'd have to wait a while if you want a 'just werks' experience with common, popular distros.

I just remembered Lain also had hardware called Navi. Surprised I can even remember anything, having watched it forever ago.

>Yes, I'm doing typical AMDrone hopeposting.
All good. I'm an unabashed AMD fan, but man have their graphics card releases made me sad lately.

AMD GPUs are bundled with IBM POWER9 pcs that don't support x86. While probably not perfect, they're the best you can get when it comes to Linux support.

Look another rebrandeon

New GPUs are just rebrands of the previous generation because they're still GPUs with a GPU purpose: the post.

They skipped 8 because they had used it for some mobile chips, which is a bullshit excuse.

Reminder no matter how bad Zen2 will perform it'll still outsell Intel.

Attached: 1536694146733.png (1200x800, 164K)

And yet Radeon 7 competes with 2080, niggervidiot

This is true, that gave me hope. I'd like to see some of their AIBs make a better cooler for it. If anything Navi falling backwards in performance is a worrying development though.

>it's another "add 2 more cores to Skylake and burn down the house" episode

Not on server market

two things

7nm
and
gddr6

And then you woke up

Intel 10 cores comet lake soon AAHAHAAHHHHHHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH

>I don't know how much AMD is killing it in the datacenter space.
It's a slower adoption speed, but in virtualization $/core counts for a lot. Guess what Epyc has in spades?
Even Cisco, who were pretty staunchly Intel fans have quietly put up an Epyc line of servers.

ANNOUNCE STUFF ALREADY, I NEED TO SCHEDULE AND PLAN MY NEXT UPGRADE

Huh, both the CPUs and GPUs at the same time? I thought Navi was coming a lot later, and I thought Ryzen 3 was coming a lot earlier. I was planning to upgrade in April, so this will screw with my plans if true.

> amd products

Attached: 0459834534.jpg (997x1271, 168K)

306 and 307 sound fucking amazing.

How the fuck can anyone think these numbers are real? AMD just released a Vega 64 + 25% for $700.

They're not going to release a Vega 64 + 15% for 1/3 the price.

they're perfectly fine products
don't be like that, user

w-wait for 10nm intelbros............we will btfo anti-semitic amd fanboys for sure

>Buy comet lake

JUST delid and delap it bro lmoa

Intel probably has an amazing product that isn't Core™ in the works. I can't fathom them not doing anything given how huge the company is.

lol

lol? lol then.

Molten Silicon Lake when?

>high end navi will be next year
by which point nvidia will be on their turing shrink/refresh, and amd will have manufactured their 50th navi chip

They don't have any stock to undercut

You missed that AMD's top end Navi competes with 2070/1080, never mind 2080/1080ti or 2080ti.

>Molten Silicon Lake
More like Rapidly Expanding Gaseous Plasma- Vapour Lake

Attached: Fusion jet Reactor.jpg (442x293, 56K)

That's what AMDtards said after Netburst too, and then AMD got curbstomped by Core. Everyone was convinced Netburst was going to be the fire that killed Intel. Well guess what, CPU represents like 10% of their R&D efforts. They could at any moment decide to stop fucking around and pay big bucks to poach whoever they want and only Apple would be able to fight it

I'd believe it if only because radeon 7 is just a cut down bottom shelf mi60, with only 5k in existence currently. If navi is actually a competitive architecture without the HBM meme it could absolutely be affordable.

Why do you think there are no stocks?

HURRY UP

I WANT NEW GEN CONSOLES NOW

>Intel and AMD are currently in a core count stalemate thanks to the launch of Intel’s Coffee Lake refresh and the I9-9900K. While it is considerably more expensive than that of the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X, it also performs better (particularly when single thread performance is concerned) – but times are changing.
Imagine how much he got paid for this damage control

>next gen console
>still locked to 720p30fps

AMD had quite a few.

So you want the exact same graphics but at locked 4k?

The graphics race is fucking dead.

>100+ days away
you fucking shitting me?

Attached: 1498438216331.jpg (431x401, 20K)

>just wait
>just wait
>just wait
im sick of waiting

Zen 2 should be dope but I have no confidence in AMD not releasing yet another housefire turd GPU.

Sure it'll be a lot better perf/price than Radeon VII but they're not going to completely kneecap their existing product lineup in a few months when they still have old cards to sell.

I'd say if you moved the price and TDP down a tier for each and eliminated the 3080 entirely there's your Navi lineup

Navi will come out, but the prices, performance and names will be all wrong.

It won't be 400+ but it will be nearer 1070ti/2060 perf with stronger performance in newer games and the perfect 1440p card

>j-just wait longer
I am also tired of fucking waiting. might just go with a 9700k, I can't bear this shitty CPU for another 5 months.

The best Navi is going to be 1070-1070ti performance for $250. So it would compete more with the new 1660 for a similar price.

Vega VII is nothing but a stopgap. They barely have stock and I don't even think they're making any profit off it.

>launch on a sunday
Doubt

Any news on SR-IOV for Radeon VII yet?

>I'm a stupid impatient child
ftfy

When will this stupid 'just wait' meme die? If you need a new PC but you want Zen 2, you can buy a nice mobo now and drop a cheap 1000-series chip in it. Easy 1:1 replacement when the new CPUs come.

literally only 5k cards if they have any stock at all right now I would be amazed. VII is an even bigger meme launch than the 590

90% of waitfags are using 1060s and 60Hz monitors so it's even more fucking retarded

The actual Navi launch window was always July-August, ever since N7 lagged by 2Q in 2017.

Maybe I'll finally upgrade from GTX 1070 then.

...

Die sizes, moron.

They will just retire Radeon 7.
~half a year product lifetime for a cutdown HPC die is okay.
