The NSA was handing those out at a conference and they turned out to be translucent.

the Thinkpad t480s comes with one.

So, how do you "disable" the mic in your laptop?

seriously?

I'm really not worried about people seeing or hearing me.

same here with my A485

No, because my laptop does not have an integrated camera.

is that faye raegon?

I wish I'd spec'd my Thinkpad X260 without the camera and mic. I think they introduced the Thinkshutter for the X280 (and others) generation. These days I'd rather have no mic or camera built in than a little slider that's alleged to kill the mic and camera. I just don't trust it.

>not just uninstalling your webcam driver
All the while you’re making ching ching bing over in china a millionaire by spending money on this piece of plastic that cost half a cent to make

user...

>Pricacy Shild

What did they mean by this?

>stick tape over the webcam
The simplest solutions are often the best solutions.

this

Just unplug or desolder it from the motherboard you dingus.

Imagine ACTUALLY believing a camera needs an OS, let alone a driver to work.

no sir

What the fuck is a SHILD?

Shield+slide?

OH. I thought it was just being SHIL'D.

No because I don't buy laptops with integrated cameras/mics. Everything I use is external and unplugged when not in use, even on my desktop.

Oh come on, one of the colors didn't completely block out the light. Not exactly the same as "they turned out to be translucent".

Except they are transparent
