Transmission is the best client specifically because it can run on even the shittiest hardware and still perform well.
On good hardware the performance scales up but it still remains super light. This is what made the old uTorrent so good, high performance with a tiny, well coded program. You can even run the daemon and interact with it purely through remote GUI software on desktop or mobile.

As already mentioned here, labels would be nice for linux, they have been in the Mac version for a fat minute

There is some hardware incompatibility (never had any problems personally but I've seen questions about new wireless cards not working , might just be incompetence).
