I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Don't get the hate for Libreoffice. Much better than the 365 bullshit M$ is pushing now. I've been using it to write all of my college papers and I've never had any formatting issues. Then again I don't use inserted images, I've heard that can break things.
