Only slightly related, but is it illegal to have a regular .uk website without it also be a .co? I dont think i have ever seen one without the other.

>pop up doesn't close when you hit escape >x button is white on a light grey background
Brayden Davis
Just stop using those site and improve your adblocking setup.
Gopher is too much annoyance for little benefit - if businesses had to get on it it would be equally as shit. Problem is with incentive not technology.

>notification request- this website would like to send you news straight to your computer, it'll work even if chrome isn't open! Jesus this shit is so bad, every time I see old fucks computers nowadays the second you turn it on you get blasted with 1000 things because boomers just click yes to get spammed with bullshit, makes me miss the IE with 15 toolbars of the 2000s, at least those waited till you opened the browser to annoy you.
Blake Green
>little video at the corner pops up even tho there isnt a video on the main page how do you stop this? also

Julian Carter
>go to a page >some unrelated autoplay video starts up >pause it >scroll down to read what you came for >it shrinks down, moves to the corner and follows you while unpausing itself
>Download our app, click here go to the app store >Install it >It asks for permission to use location, camera, mic and whole bunch of other shit it has no legitimate reason to >Popup: Don't forget to rate the app on the play store, tap here go to the store

Apparently solely .uk domains only became a thing in 2013.

Since I'm gonna get b& for frogposting anyway here's a picture of janny's mom working hard to support the family financially because her worthless son DOES IT FOR FREE
>>autistically spend over an hour per site to allow/disallow specific content Damn, that's embarrassing if it takes you that long.
Charles Parker
It just needs a simple way to download entire gopherholes. Wget doesn't work with gopher.
But I do like plaintext files over HTML because you don't need an increasingly bloated and shitty piece of software (the web browser) to view its content. But, saying that, there's no reason not to use HTML to construct directories and just point wget --mirror at the HTTP site and let it come down.

Tab immediately closed when I see this, cause I always have to solve Captchas because of Tor.
Jow Forums is the only exception for me, because it is one of two boards where I can shitpost + say that muslims all deserve to end in a gulag in russia, without getting banned for it.
>for your security, to use our banking system you'll have install this software in your computer, only chrome and internet explorer are supported, trust us :^)

Whoever came up with the idea of browsers being able to push notifications needs to be drawn and quartered.

>google result is pinterest >page is totally blank >even right-click->view leads to this How did we get to the point where transferring an image is hard work?
Robert Myers
Fucking CNN/NBC/ABC/CBS
They all hired the same programmer
Camden Baker
Worked fine until these shit sites realized all people wanted was the media. Made Google change it. Still works fine on Yandex and others.
Sebastian Garcia
And then they have the gall to complain about server costs when sending you 10+MB of shit, when all you want is about 100KB of text.
Cooper Rodriguez

>all people wanted was the media. Yeah, no shit. What did they think people wanted from a media hosting platform?
Aaron Richardson
This is the worst part of the modern web. It's so complicated and frustrating. I mean, the old web was just slow. It was never half as petty.
About the only thing I can think of is GeoCities' bullshit cooldown.
Luke Taylor
>google search a image >find your image >click in it: sub-menu open >no save this image button, no open this image button >saving the image from there will save the thumbnail, it's a png it'll lose transparency >clicking the image will take you to the website, not straight to the full image >open the image's website, the image is nowhere to be seen.

Benjamin Jenkins
I've stuck to the same few sites for years now. Jow Forums. Some technology news. My bank. That kinda stuff. So when I do venture out it's always a shock. Even shady Russian porn sites have more respect for you.
>assblasted with with autoplay video >RAM usage 50% >We see you adblock we understand except we dont disable or pay up >feature on site - 10 things we dont miss about old internet >Haha remember banner ads how annoying yikes!
Oliver Ortiz
Websites that open a fucking autoplay a video when you click on them should be fucking taken off the internet with the heads of their designers put on pikes as a warning to others.
Nathaniel King
The best is not even getting text to load until you enable 3rd party js on a site. lmao fuck yourself. Same with ajax and jquery.
Josiah King
This shit is the reason id gladly glass the planet if given the option.
Giving people access to any modicum of tech and they'll fuck it up.
