Sup Comrades, I am a student from Russia, I came to America (California) a year ago and thank God I will soon go home. But not about that. Since this year was rather intense, I am very glad that I learned so much about your country, history, and so on. And according to this, I have as a couple of questions for you, and a couple of points that I’ll just say as a person from another, diametrically opposite country. (And yes, I’m still bad in English, I tweaked the text in Google Translator, sorry about that). You might be interested in reading this, like the point of view from the "damned commies", maybe not ...
AHTUNG, A LOT OF TEXT!
Let's start with the positive points that I have emphasized for myself:
I really like that you have psychologists in every educational institution. And not one or two (or none) as here, in Mother Russia, but a whole company that is always ready to help students. But I didn’t have a good story with psychologists. I came here for just a year and it became interesting to me how the learning process is going on here. I went to @College Name@ for 2 semesters. Perhaps I will skip this пиздeц(shit) with documents and other things, but even after a successful receipt, everything was not so good. A bit of materiel: Russia is a very militarized country. And if your army is exclusively mercenary, then we have a mandatory one (but of course you can avoid it). I was not one of those guys who wriggled out the army. I studied in the cadet corps by my choice (exactly the same school, only the second half of the day is the training of a soldier) from 9 to 11 grade and then immediately went to serve in the army for a year. And because of that, I celebrated my 19th birthday already in America.

Attached: 87qxivTiYCA.jpg (1280x899, 251K)

As you might have guessed, I marched 4 years with a weapon in my hands. In fact, I am a well-trained soldier. AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? Of course, I was forced to visit a psychologist every week for security reasons. And guys, I understand everything, you are worried about security, but blyat’, the first question from a psychologist was: "And how many people did you kill?" ... ... ... And what the fuck are we fighting? That is, there was no question: "Did you kill?". I was immediately put before the fact that I had already killed ... This is fucking guys.

И дa, peбятa, ecли ктo-тo пo кaкoй-тo пpичинe дyмaeт, чтo я тpoлль (к кoтopым тyт, кaк я пoнимaю, кaждoгo pyccкoгo пpичиcляют), тo paзoчapyю вac. Я caмый oбычный пapeнёк из Mocквы, тaк чтo пpoдoлжим.

The second positive point is multinationality. Russia is also a very multinational country. But here we differ from each other only with the color of hair and eyes, in extreme cases, the features of the face ... that's all. 80% of my country are white people, the other 20 are like Asians, but not Asians. It's hard to explain, but like the Kazakhs and other neighbors nations from south-east are not considered Asian ... NOT IMPORTANT! Just note that in Russia you can meet a black person once in 2 years, and that is if you live in Moscow. In America, my jaw dropped on the floor from the number of people that I saw here. This variety struck and at the same time disappointed me, but more on that later.

The third point - I like that people are smiling here. But for me this is not a positive point, because it is a matter of taste. Just for example, in Russia we do not smile at each other because we have a bad sign. We smile only to very close friends. But I liked it because our seriousness creates an atmosphere of a serious attitude to work or study.

Sorry that I have highlighted so few positives, this is just my opinion, I like it more at home (as everyone probably), that's all. Do not be angry about that okay?

Well then let's talk about the negative aspects of your country. I apologize again, do not take my words to heart ... But guys ... it's ”pizdec”.

First is the homeless and dirt. I do not understand how can you live among all this shit? Now I’m talking specifically about California, because as far as I know, in other states everything is not so bad. HO ЭTO ЖE ПИЗДEЦ. I understand that in my country culture is much higher and in general we are more clean (most). But leaving the big office center to step over the homeless and smell the piss everywhere while hearing the cries of crazy people running around in suits from garbage bags ... I had a shock in the first days because before coming to Beverly Hills, I saw this shit EVERY SINGLE DAY. That is why, by the way, my family and I rented an apartment in Beverly Hills, because only in this area of Los Angeles you can live a normal life. And if you think that this is a very expensive area, then I don’t want to seem crawling, but by Russian standards, this is the most common, as we call it, sleeping area. In our country, of course, we have enough dirt. But that's not like in California, not even close. And by the way, why don't you put crazy people in a psychiatric hospitals? You are aware that this is also possible? We also have homeless people and crazy people, it’s not that rare, but you can see them once in couple of months. In the provinces - more often. But you can't see crazy people on the street. (Except for those who start the old car with the help of an weapon patron. But you yourself saw that ton of video from Russia where some kind of trash happens)

Secondly ... your views are of course very different. When I saw students in the class who eat or drink, or sit with their feet on the desk, while the teacher explains the material, and I was amazed in a bad way. For your understandable the degree of my amazement, we might be suspended from classes for this in Russia. This behavior is unacceptable in general. This is a teacher, a person who teaches you, who wants you to become smarter, who spends his/her time to teach you something that is useful to you ... AND HOW CAN YOU SIT AND EAT CHIPS AT A LESSON WITH YOUR FUCKING LEGS ON THE DESK ???

It was also very funny for me to hear that some of you want communism so that the LGBT community is equal to the rest. When I heard this, I almost died laughing ... Oh, Grandpa Lenin, how good it is that you do not hear that.
And as you could guess, yes, I am a socialist, I love the USSR and I am proud of that past. But in order not to maintain stereotypes: not all Russians are communists, okay? And even more so, I do not believe in communism, but in the USSR, a sample of 60-80 years, I still believe. And how much I hate to hear from some of you that the Communists are trash, that we live in shit, that this idea is a disease. Fuck you, okay? We dream of the great, we want to give everything to the person, we want our children to live and work as they want, without thinking about how expedient or in demand it will be. You want to become a doctor - go, you want to become an engineer - go, you want to become a lawyer - go. In socialism, all that is required of you is desire, the government will give you free education, and medicine and anything. The main thing from you - just to learn! And that's great. Because when I hear about the cost of your medicine or education, I feel bad. AND BY THE WAY OF EDUCATION.

I do not understand how you study at school for 12 years and as a result you get less than we do. We have 11 classes in total and per year we teach from 10 to 14 subjects (depending on the grade). Every day a different schedule (but the week schedule is the same) and so on. But in the end, we teach five times more than you, because when I was visiting and I saw what a child in the 12th grade at the Algebra was teaching ... so that you understand, we are taught in the 7th grade.

In the third, yes, yes, call me an intolerant pig, homophobe and anyone else. But is it really normal when I walked along one of the main streets, two half-naked men walked past me with rainbow-colored wings on their backs and said: "Hello, sweet" and shook their asses ... What the fuck is this? Or when I was sitting in a restaurant, two trances in short skirts sat across the table from us ... and their “devices” almost fell out from under the skirt. And for your understandable, I accidentally noticed it with side vision ... Or the same topic, when I see just everywhere these flags with LGBT people or the fact that you constantly go through these parades. Just a question, why advertise it? I can not imagine in a nightmare that it would happens in Russia. Guys, everyone who supports this all. Do you really think this is normal? Of course, perhaps there are normal ones among them ... but there are very few normal ones among them ...
I am also amused when people say or post that they are VERY RELIGION that they are catholic to the core, they go to church and so on. And support LGBT ... I am not an expert, I am not believe in any religion or god (you know, these commies), but as I know, Jesus hates gays ... I find it funny to hear from people that they believe in God and support LGBT. I have nothing against it, but it's like to say: I am a Muslim, being in a bar and drinking beer.

Let's go further. About the variety and stuff. How infuriates me when African Americans say at every opportunity: We are not like that, we are not like these whites, we are different. Are you guys serious? You see, in my country, Caucasians do not say: we are not like that, we are not Russian. Nobody says that anywhere, okay? Why are you trying to emphasize this moment that you are different? Yes, you are different, we know, then what? I don't give a fuck about what you are not white. Just do not emphasize this. Or here's another story. like on the way to the store, I saw a some kind of protest where there was an African American who yelled: "Every white man must apologize for keeping Black in slavery!" Apologize for what, blyat’? Americans, you know that those who kept the black slaves died already 2 centuries ago? In general, this is your main problem, that you "should apologize for something."

A simple example: a monument to Christopher Columbus was recently demolished in California for charges of genocide, and so on. With that, I am sure that this decision was hardly made by the Americans. How can you even let someone demolish the monuments of your historical heroes? This is YOUR pride, this is YOUR history, why you are not protecting it. We just had similar case when in one unstable region of Russia they began to demolish monuments to Lenin, Pushkin, Peter the Great and the rest of OUR heroes. And then they began to simply kill ethnic Slavs. So do you know what we did? We have wiped out this city from the face of earth. We bombed it for weeks. Yes, we lost a lot and killed a lot of people. But we did not allow someone to demolish our heroes, our history and our pride. I do not urge you to do the same. But guys, do not forget about your honor and do not allow others to steer your country.

Just my opinion: If I had, let's say, I immigrated to America and in 5 years I would have received an American passport. I would never vote. For anyone and nowhere. I don’t think that it is necessary to allow immigrants to vote in a foreign country. Because they are your guests, and in my opinion, the state and the structure of YOUR country is NOT THEIR business. And no, I do not support Trump, I don’t care what happens in your country. Just this is my opinion, it is different for everyone.

And the most beloved is women's rights. How am I funny to watch this. In Russia, since the times of the Soviet Union, everyone has long been equal. We get the same salary, but still in what we get in different ways. And this is not a problem with us, because we are not so stupid as to deny the fact that men and women are different. For example, I can easily joke in my own country that a woman’s place is in the kitchen. Because it is a joke, to which she can answer: "If the war begins, then such an idiot like you will die first." And this is equality. Because you will perceive such a joke as ... they will probably shoot me here. Just admit that we are different. Women are better than men, worse. Men are also in something better than women, in something worse. Just admit it. This is at least a matter of anatomy. And I am silent about the psychological difference.

Attached: G9S1tyhI4CM.jpg (1280x960, 307K)

Just about to say something about the school addition. I often hear from Americans that the school is the worst thing I had to go through and so on. And here is a simple difference: Russians always live or try to live in a large team and work together. You are more individual. You like to have a local group of people and work / communicate only with them. According to this (I say judging by what I heard) you have bullying. In Russia, those who mock the weak are beaten. And we beat them very hard. And by the way this is why you are so afraid to use physical force? I saw a couple of times how people are fighting in America and people screaming usually CALLING THE POLICE, O MY GOOOOD... We often have conflicts with assholes with the end in a fight. In your case, this kind of conflict ends: "AND WHAT DO YOU DO TO ME? WELL TRY TO TOUCH ME, COMMON, HA, YOU CAN NOT DO ANYTHING?" And how good that we just beat these in my country. Because later they cease to be the asshole. And this example concerns police. Yes, you might think that this is terrible, and Russian are wild barbarians. But our police have almost never kill people. They are not afraid to go in the melee. And surprise - to beat a man better than kill. We do not apply the principle police weapons. And how could I pass up the theme with a weapon.

And public transport. This is not that bad, but I liked more in Moscow, where we had: buses, trolley buses, trams, subways, taxis, and so on. For $ 2, I could drive around Moscow because we have a lot of public transport and it is cheap. It's not bad that you have so little of it, but I liked using it more than buying a car, paying insurance and paying for gas.

But most of all infuriates me. Don't get it wrong, but why do all people in America consider Jews to be the poorest people on the planet because of World War II? That it, people first of all talk about the conversation about the second world war think about 6 million dead Jews, and not 30,000,000 Europeans and 37,000,000 Soviet citizens and soldiers. Of course, I understand everything, but since this is so, then immediately recall the ethnic genocides in Palestine in order to take territory. The Soviets are also not the most holy after the capture of Poland. But guys, I am extremely enraged when Jews are brought here as the poorest and most exhausted people of the second world war. Well, just read about the Blockade of Leningrad or the Nazi laboratories in France, just for general development. Perhaps I met extremely stupid people, but I was outraged that the Jews were poor, and the Soviets and Europeans suffered a little. I am not a great mathematician, but 67 million is much more than 6. And so who of them is the poorest, decide for yourself.

How funny it is to me to hear your sincere surprise when shooting happens at school or in a bar or anywhere else. Why do you think almost no country has a free sale of weapons? I am against the free sale of weapons - but this is your country, and you decide. But you have this arms sale too loose, and here is the result.

Well, the last thing is the houses in California and I have never seen houses built so poorly. In my country, houses built in the 80s are essentially better than houses in California. And I miss the fact that I could yell at 1am and nobody would have heard it …

It was also fun for me to see people's faces when I walked in shorts and a t-shirt in the winter in Los Angeles ... and it was hot. Perhaps you do not know, but for people who have grown up in very cold places (In Moscow, it could be -30C in winter) the blood circulates much faster to warm the body. And for this summer I was just dying. You have no idea how I want to go home, in the snow, to Mother Russia.

Well, in general, that's all, or at least everything that I remembered at the moment.
And again, sorry for those words. Consider that I am from another country, with a totally opposite mentality and so on. And yes, I'm sorry for making your eyes burn from my level of English.

And by the way. How do you feel about when foreigners like me speak English on bad level or with russian accent? (Because everywhere people have different view on foreigners with low language knowledge) What are your stereotypes about Russians and which ones have you met? Just interesting in your experience.

>First is the homeless and dirt. I do not understand how can you live among all this shit?
Homeless people are not guilty of anything so we shouldn't forcibly keep them outside of society. Life is tough, and I'd rather not live in a bubble. Even if it is unpleasant you have to see it.
>And by the way, why don't you put crazy people in a psychiatric hospitals?
We only do that if they commit crimes. In America we had a history of poor treatment for the mentally ill in hospitals. So we treat them like people because the alternative can lead to them being under inhumane conditions
>AND HOW CAN YOU SIT AND EAT CHIPS AT A LESSON WITH YOUR FUCKING LEGS ON THE DESK ???
It is not considered disrespectful. Different cultures
>It was also very funny for me to hear that some of you want communism so that the LGBT community is equal to the rest. When I heard this, I almost died laughing ... Oh, Grandpa Lenin, how good it is that you do not hear that
There is a difference between anarchist communism and the "socialism" made by Marxism-leninism . In acidemia they are usually talking about classical Marxism/neo-marxism or anarcho communism.
>I do not understand how you study at school for 12 years and as a result you get less than we do
School in America is primarily just there to prepare us for living under a Capitalist work environment and not to fill them with knowledge . It was a result of education reforms of the rockerfellers
>I saw what a child in the 12th grade at the Algebra was teaching ... so that you understand, we are taught in the 7th grade.
We are taught algebra in 7th grade too ,we then study algebra in further depth In high school.
>Just a question, why advertise it?
In America we originally had a stereotype that gay people were sad and lonely. Then during some gay rights protests they acted happy and prideful to subvert this stereotype. Also many Americans were unaware of how many gay people there were.

>It is not considered disrespectful. Different cultures
america please

Not really sure where he's coming from, figuratively and literally. It's why it's so pointless to talk about what's normal in this country.

>Homeless people are not guilty of anything so we shouldn't forcibly keep them outside of society. Life is tough, and I'd rather not live in a bubble. Even if it is unpleasant you have to see it.

I know, but im talking about that honeless who crap right in the middle of the street. And Ive seen that a lot.

>We only do that if they commit crimes...

I have a friend which unkle because of some sickness living in psychiatric hospitals. I was there, it was in a province and it was a gov't hospital, where they all have all what they need from food and therapy to local forest where they are walking. I just dont undertand why in America u dont have gov't hospitals like these to not see crazy people running across the streets.

>We are taught algebra in 7th grade too
I know, but that guy was in Algebra 2 he didnt like refuse to take math, but nevermind. We just have different education system.

And yeah, thank you for answering:3

>Do you really think this is normal?
Yes the norms are subjective to the society we live in, in other states homosexuality is not considered normal but it is at least tolerated .
>I can not imagine in a nightmare that it would happens in Russia.
It was a nightmare in America when it happened to us and then eventually we accepted it.
>Of course, perhaps there are normal ones among them
Many people don't advertise their sexuality and you wouldn't be able to tell if they were gay anyways.
>I am also amused when people say or post that they are VERY RELIGION that they are catholic to the core, they go to church and so on. And support LGBT
People will cherry pick things in the Bible , most people think the Bible follows them and not the other way around. The Bible also rails against the pursuit of money but they still are Capitalists.
>I saw a some kind of protest where there was an African American who yelled: "Every white man must apologize for keeping Black in slavery!"
Protests are usually hyperbolic , many protesters have a hard time wrapping their heads around the issues.
>Christopher Columbus was recently demolished in California for charges of genocide
It probably was by the American people that it was removed. The myth that Columbus committed genocide comes from a human desire to deify or demonize. Columbus actually never committed any genocide. He wanted to make the native Americans peasants and not slaves. He eventually lost control of the land he discovered Because he didn't make enough profits for Spain and he cut of a white person's fingers for selling native American children as sex slaves.
>This is your pride your history
Yes but to the opressed it can be distressing. Removing a statue isn't removing history, Because we still have our history books and the statues are usually transferred to museums.
I don't try to mythologize history so it isn't really tied to our national pride.

>don’t think that it is necessary to allow immigrants to vote in a foreign country.
American is multicultural and we usually consider any citizen an american. In America we are all immigrants so we treat them just like citizens. Under the statue of liberty there reads a poem
{Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
MOTHEROFEXILES. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.

"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"}
>the state and the structure of YOUR country is NOT THEIR business
It is their business because they are subject to the laws that we vote on. So they should have a political voice.
>And this is not a problem with us, because we are not so stupid as to deny the fact that men and women are different
We don't deny that fact. Many of the protesters that the differences behavioral differences are primarily due to the social construction of gender and not due to biology(which is the scientific consensus).
>This is at least a matter of anatomy.
Yes but we have intersecting bell curves in ability so we shouldn't bar exceptional women of similar anatomy from entry into male dominated job.
>According to this (I say judging by what I heard) you have bullying.
Yes we do.
>In Russia, those who mock the weak are beaten
Ok, Americans like to avoid conflict as much as possible. So they usually don't act in that fashion , they keep low profiles because they could end up getting bullied. We don't ever like to apply force if it isn't necessary

>but I was outraged that the Jews were poor
The difference is that the Jews suffered as a result of fascism and not because of the war. The Jews were not soldiers so they seem less guilty or even innocent. We are taught about them with much more focus in history class because it is an argument against fascism and racism. Jews have also been used as a scapegoat throughout history.
>but im talking about that honeless who crap right in the middle of the street. And Ive seen that a lot
Oh yeah that's gross.
>America u dont have gov't hospitals like these to not see crazy people running across the streets
We used to but the conditions were abhorrent. In America we are very tolerant and we value liberty. So we try to not take away someone's freedom unless they cause harm.

Most tldr thread on Jow Forums
Hong Kong is the most Capitalist place on Earth

big cities in america are almost never a good idea to go to, i live only 30 minutes away from LA and its nothing like the hell that is LA.
If you decide to ever come back to the States United, I would recommend going to areas near national parks. Gives you a lot to see while giving you a better idea of what most of America is like.
Going to a big city like that is where you're going to find the worst of what America has to offer. Only the most extreme people will be in a big city like that.

>How do you feel about when foreigners like me speak English on bad level or with russian accent
In my opinion it is very cute when people are trying their best to break the language barrier. It is almost flattering that you haven't brushed anglos off entirely (like a lot of people in South America (albeit justifiably) have)

Maybe one day the USA and Russia can be friends again like old times (but maybe with a bit less romanov) and I can visit your beautiful country

jokingly "most capaitalist" as in how amoral people can be, and it is usually directed to mainland china

>People smile a lot in America
Americans are very open and happy, they even try to use it as a means of sale "service with a smile". Though it sometimes comes off as a bit weird.
>A lot of homeless people
That's not entirely California's fault, many states offers homeless people a one-way ticket to California to get rid of them.
>Eating food and resting feet on table during class
I have to admit it's not something we have in Europe (at least not in the places I have been). Usually you get told to stop and if you continue, you get kicked out of the lecture. And eventually you get expelled for bad behavior.

>LGBT (and Antifa) people are commies
It's really an oxymoron that people want to give up their rights to get equal rights.

>Socialism gives better work opportunities
Not so sure about that one, since a few Socialist countries failed. Like the USSR or Venezuela. But you can believe what you want to.
>Trans people in public
America is the capital of tolerance to LGBT. Since the entire country is built on Freedom, you also have the freedom of being mentally ill.

>LGBT and Religion
Oh boy, if you thought gay Christians were stupid then let me tell you about gay Muslims. Yes, Muslims. Those with the Quran that talks about how gay people should be thrown off buildings.
>BLM
Yeah, all the slaves and slave owners are dead. But that's not going to stop African Americans from trying to get more advantages by playing the "my ancestors were slaves" card. It's really a stupid argument if you also think about how that minority commits most crimes in America.

>SJWs removing statues
Well, since a lot of people think everything is racist and created by slave owners, you can expect both statues to be removed and places/holidays to be renamed. Yeah, Christopher Columbus Day is now Indigenous Peoples' Day. Trust me, some day it's not America anymore, it's "The slavery land of Native Africans"

>I came to America
Pigs shouldn't be on the loose so easily

>Immigrants allowed to vote
That's more of a move on the Democrats part (or so goes the theory), the many immigrants gets US citizenship if they vote for Democrats. And they say Russians helped Trump, what a shit show.

>Feminists
Since few women reads into economics, they don't understand that: Work x Hours = Salary
And not: Your gender x Job position = Salary
Women and men will never be 100% equal because they don't do, feel or think the exact same thing.
>Bullies and idiots fighting
In America it's "every man fights for himself"
Ganging up or trying to use someone bigger are considered cowardice. Although, these days you can't even offer someone a hotdog because someone threatened to call the police.

>Public transport
America are the country of private transport because it gives a sense of freedom (I'm not joking about the description)
Since you can go anywhere you want, whenever you want it's the most favored form of transportation. Public transport are usually for those who can't drive (old, disabled or young people)

They were gassed, incinerated, experimented on and displayed as sub-humans. While Europeans and Soviets are considered "collateral damage". Although many soviets and Chinese where killed as cannon fodder or suspects of being traitors.

The second amendment are used as a defense of free gun trade. Most school shootings actually happen in California, even though they're against free weapon trade.
>Shitty houses
A lot of people being concentrated in one state will make it hard to invest in good apartments because so many people wants to just live there despite the conditions (supply and demand if you will)
Also, there's a lot of forest fires that burns down the houses.
