You lied to me Jow Forums. You said that SSDs don't last as long as HDDs.

We knew that SSD's could write well above their rated specs years ago, thetechreport had some good testing of this.

Buy a solid SSD like Crucial and Samsung and they will last. Buying something like a kingston ah400 is asking for quick failure

>what are IO bottlenecks

>install SSD
>everything runs faster

Happened on 4 computers I've owned so far.

SSDs consistently make computers faster. I don't get the meme about them being placebo, nothing I've put an SSD in has been anything but faster.

Stop replying to obvious bait with serious answers

good goy. buy into the ssd jew even though the performance is placebo.

Ok

Kill yourself please

>even though the performance is placebo.
Windows 10 isn't even usable on hard drives.

Neither is Windows 7.

>boot up Windows 7
>have to wait 20 minutes for it to cache programs

Thing with Windows 7 is it eventually gets going. Windows 10 is just a lag-fest no matter the uptime with a hard drive.

I guess we should all go back to SIMM memory and tape for storage because having fast access to things is placebo

My Micron C400 512gb died after 6.5 years of service. About 1tbw of use

meant to say 100tbw*
