Why havent you vertical mounted your gpu?

Why havent you vertical mounted your gpu?

Because it adds unnecessary bloat inside the case and looks gay and childish

>>dont have to look at your backplate
This is a negative.

I personally like enough space to have my motherboard lay flat. Which allows my gpu to be vertical.

>implying the AleaM50 doesn't mount your mobo horizontally so you can mount a big fuck-off cooler

Looks gay

>blocks all your epansion slots
>rarely improves GPU cooling
>don't have a window so looks are a non-issue
>GPU in OP pic is still sagging

Because I don't want to buy a PCI-e extension cable; they're overpriced.
I also don't have a window and my case is in a place where I don't see it anyway, so aesthetics are meaningless to me.

No room in my case, and i need the other PCI slots for other stuff

bad for thermals

>No gpu sag
Fair. Although there are other workarounds.
>hide your shit cable management
Just don't fuck it up in the first place. Not that hard.
>dont have to look at your backplate
Mine looks great and fits the build.

Plus, it's bad for thermals.

what do you even use the other expansion slots for you fuck

usb and wireless most likely

>No GPU sag
>gpu is sagging in pic

I wish there were more vertical cases

Wassup VII brother

I don't give a shit about cable management.

>hide your shit cable management
By not plugging it in!

Rv02 user here, what case is in pic? Are there better vertical mounted cases?

>set tower on its side
we desktop case now

>shit cable management

is that the meshify?

but user i have

sadly no
post yours

what is this, 2006?

it's a mid tower case

Came back when you actually have cables to manage.

because I have a bitfenix ghost and my case is optimized for silence, not to be pretty.

an actual boomer here posting from his am3 motherboard

>it's a mid tower case
still too small, therefore its s o y

I rarely use the TV tuner to watch TV. It has an A/V input and I use it to copy old videotapes to my computer. Same with the Firewire card.

Who the fuck is looking at their computer on a daily basis if this is an issue?

qt!
wish Silverstone made new ones

Because that's retarded, unless the case is specifically made for vertical mount for which this one isn't.

You think I don't but I do

Attached: IMG_82824.jpg (1000x750, 743K)

so does that thing have SR-IOV or not? literally nothing on Google about it.

Terrible for thermals, in your particular case in a small case and radiator in the front, you are just gimping your GPU as it will throttle.

spbp

>that horrible cable management

Fight me: It's not like I see it. At least everything is easily modular and accessible.

Attached: IMG_130537.jpg (750x1000, 365K)

Not that I'd even want to, shit looks like a gay rave.

fpbp

Fucking based.

Both of my last 2 builds had the motherboards at the bottom of the case to begin with, my GPU has been oriented like that since 2015

I didn't know this was a thing you could do. I think it'd work better for my current case. How do the PCI access slots in on the back of the case work, though? Does the case have to support using a vertical mount?

As far as i can tell i don't know, windows doesn't list SR-IOV in its device details

How to check?

Cooling is actually way worse unless it's on water. Vertical GPUs is a dumb idea on air even in big atx cases.

i know the radeon card is not great cuz its loud as hell cuz massive fan speed but FUCK its a good looking card

>Vertical GPUs is a dumb idea on air even in big atx cases.

just put your case on its side; god damn it, zoomers are retarded

>He thinks the meshify is a small case
Get a load of this chucklehead

But you can't enjoy watching your rainbow colored LEDs through the side panel window that way

>look

I hope you don't put your computer on your desk.

enjoy your dust

Nobody would be normie enough here to put a PC on a floor

Why not? Much easier to access the back panel connections that way.

>No gpu sag
This is the biggest reason why I consider it.
Although, I only wanna do it if I can get a Navi GPU for my next GPU that's watercooled so it's no starved for airflow.

but i do.
my mobo is horizontal instead.
:^)

post your undervolt results.

is that fan to cool your vrm?
>dat copper mini sink

the absolute state of Jow Forums
I already have a horizontal laying motherboard so my GPU is just doing this anyway, but its a pretty faggy waste of time and effort to do this for no reason in a tower.

>undervolt
i haven't gotten around to it yet

the default voltage is 1122mV and it's been stable at 985mV so far
