So it's like Jow Forums?

I've heard numerous accounts of people getting banned at almost random occurrences. Never had that happen to me or anyone I personally know desu. Are you able to make a new account? Or are you IP banned for good?

Can't tell if sarcasm or legit lol. It is somewhat of a decent platforms, and works decently well with Linux.

made a new account 5 minutes after and got my friend to invite me back to my server. i did make it from a vpn but i login daily from the ip i was banned on so i dont think its an ip thing.

desu that is the only bad expereince i have had with the service. i think technically its the best. it works on all platforms. the mobile app is actaully good. isnt a resource hog. is completly free and audio quality is good. the one gripe i have with it is not being able to self host servers. when their servers shit the bed and go off its like being stuck in limbo waiting to be able to talk to your mates again.

Also it's non-free and has zero privacy. If you say too many right-wing things you might get doxxed by a Discord employee as well.

Their ToC seemed clean last time a read through them. However, the Private Policy is the only formal documentation that raises an eye. Just by agreeing, you consent for them to process information for data collection. By read through those, Discord themselves don't utilize any of you data for collection, however, they agree they will send over information to 3rd parties when deemed necessary. I currently do not know who exactly they are sharing data with, possibly with the IC tho. Something to keep in mind. Free services aren't always "free".
