What are some of your old favorites lads, for me it's the N95 only issue was that it would have a 15 second lag when powering up but other then that this thing was flawless & could even watch movies if you converted them into 480x360 resolution
>mfw watching the entire first season of the X-files late at night
>fuck off the nexus 4 isn't old what are you underag- >the fourth smartphone in the Google Nexus product family, unveiled on October 29, 2012, and released on November 13, 2012 damn
Brandon Thomas
I always wanted the black N95, but at that time I didn't have the money. I might just buy one on ebay, if they don't cost too much (haven't checked the price).
Robert Miller
Moto X is the best phone I have ever owned. Why can't they just rerelease it with modern specs. I miss it bros.
Nokia was out of time of their innovations. because of finnish autism they are too fast to innovate even before such technologies are cool. Too bad they got cucked by first iPhone and Android and lastly backstabbed by microsoft with their Lumia. >all communicator series +Eseries >N93(i) camcroder models >N91
Angel Watson
Besides the shit battery live, this phone was the shit.
Christopher Cooper
Is this bait? That phone was dogshit. It could unlock in your pocket and call people and the build quality was insanely poor. Everyone I knew with that phone had multiple cracked buttons.
Cameron Richardson
not bait, i didnt have any of those issues, ive still got it somewhere
Robert Barnes
Lusted after one of these a decade ago... Then I actually used it holy fuck it was slow my wifi itouch gen 3 was faster and I used my 6120c for calls
Brody Perry
hell yeah, sony ericssons were the shit. i had so much fun with the videodj and musicdj apps.
Works fine for me, pretty snappy, it's basically a Linux laptop, you have to know what you're doing. No way would I have ever recommended it as a phone for anyone, not even when it was new.
Noah Collins
I vaguely remember that. I remember the ui and touch screen being absolutely abysmal as was everything Nokia from 07 onwards
Bentley White
I never had one, but my friend did. This phone was like a Nokia 3310, but with touchscreen. He intentionally dropped from the veranda from the third floor and it was completely undamaged. Not even the backplate came off.
Levi Young
Not him, but my experience was that the Sonys used much nicer materials and had better fit and finish, so they felt like much higher quality phones, at least when new. The Nokias were definitely more rugged though.
Adam Phillips
now that was a phone. fuck your bloated piece of "technology"
I still use my blackberry torch 9810 for as a music player, the built in amp is damn good, the thing is built like a tank, and the battery lasts a week straight playing music the whole time, and I can swap the battery if I ever needed
ah man, i used to have one of those. pretty kickass. was a spiderman 3 promotional thing, so it came with the whole movie preinstalled. watched spiderman 3 so many times on this thing. i remember how mind blowing it was to watch films on my phone
Wyatt Wright
Still using my C3. Still solid as a rock. I haven't been able to use it for emails and internet in a while tho.
>Orange on black plastic Why does this get to me so fucking much? One of the least appreciated styles of the 2000's. Sure, mostly on cheap candybars, but still, HNNNNNG
Alexander Powell
Tales from the riverside say they died all the fucking time. I only had one, and it lasted me for years. Anyone remember anything to the contrary?
I still use my straight, white and male Lumia 930 with Windows Phone 8.1 to record gigs and such. The microphone in it is great.
Brayden Harris
Don't you mind MS spying on you?
Alexander Jones
i really doubt that they would still bother spying on a dead platform
Ryan Thompson
>if you converted them into 480x360 resolution it easily played 720p with hombrew iirc i still have it somewhere in my basement i remember i've played some russian bootleg heroes 3 port on it
Connor Russell
As I said I had 3; first one died in 4 months, second one 6 months and the final one lasted up to my first iPhone (3GS). Apparently the wires that ran to the screen would degrade by being bent with the flipping open/close. Seems QC was very hit or miss. Gimme a flip or vertical slide phone with current day power and I’ll jump at it
Landon Morris
>touch >old W-Wait, how old did you say you were again, Jow Forums?
Same. Got one, played with it for maybe a month, realized it wasn't the future.
Sold it and got a Nexus One instead.
Isaac Turner
Had one of these. This is making me nostalgic.
Mason King
Sliders were my favorite form factor because I could use them closed. There's no reason to type on a phone. My last one was SE W760, there has actually been a decent modding scene for it, like running native binaries, there's even been a decent doom port.
Carson Diaz
I wish I still had that little thing. Worked amazing with a ClockworkMod.
Back in the time I though this phone was pretty cute, but it was so fucking useless. Literally any mid range phone had 3G and any other phone could record videos. I still can't believe appledrones would do it again, crediting apple for "revolutionizing" the phone world, while releasing a shitty, crippled product.
Brandon Collins
You remember phones very differently than I do. While shitty by today's phone standards...phones were WAY shittier than the iPhone in 07. It's best competition was the Blackberry of all things. Nowadays though that isn't the same.
I've had this old LG Optimus for seven years. I think i'm just going to turn it into a dedicated MP3 player and audiobook player. Anything else I can still do with this thing?
you should be able to take it to somewhere like Metro PCS they'll handle it for ya
Jose Hall
set an alarm to vibrate and shove in pooper
Tyler Williams
Nokia N73. Shit had one hell of a camera. Hell one of my first video in YouTube was shot using that phone and the video was pretty good even for 2018 standard
Connor Moore
Any type of tech is old after a few years. You're trying to compare ages of people with ages of a device which is a false equivalency. A phone that is eight years old is fucking ancient in terms of progression changes. While eight years ago, you were probably relatively the same except for a little bit of a weight change. The first touch screen phones where introduced in 2007. That's well a decade and plenty of time to shit talk early touch screens.
Shit's over 10 years old man, most of us had totally different lives that far back, plus with the explosion in typical phone diversity and capabilities around the turn of the 2010s there's a lot more to talk about, can't do much with old flip phones other than use them as phones and a practically speaking they were all pretty much the same aside from different looking outsides and maybe an occasional media gimmick.
Shit's all cool though, whatever. I'd like to start collecting Treos eventually.
I fucking loved the aesthetics of Sony Ericson slider phones. The w715 being the sexiest.
I looked into buying one a few months ago. Problem is so much of it runs off servers(the GPS, the wireless music) that it's essentially useless, and that's assuming you have a battery with a charge... Which you won't since the things like 13 years old and all the cells for it are long dead.
