It's just a Chromium reskin. Might as well just use the original.

I like it better than the others

Chromium reskin + Free VPN

Stop lying.
Opera weights less (150MB vs 400MB of Chrome) and is more feature rich ootb: VPN, Turbo etc. Is simply better.

A free VPN can be useful, but it's already blocked/blacklisted in many places. For example discord will give you loads of impossible capchas, and when you finally get to use the acc they'll force you to verify it with a phone number, randomly.

I'll hide your identity from the sit you're accessing, but opera will datamine the shit out of your traffic instead.

The free VPN is for browing some blocked website, not for shitposting user.

try opera 12.18 on the presto engine
there is also a slavanon who posts his hacky improvements (tls cyphers and shit) based on the 12.16 source code leak on the deep web.

you could also try vivaldi, which despite chromium base, preserves the spirit and ethos of the original opera, and is being developed by the original authors.

additionally, there is otter-browser, which, much like chopera, is apmost entirely unlike the browser that "inspired" it, is still pretty decent and, unlike chopera, not botnet.

Best Chrome alternative. Very underrated browser.

Deepweb link ???

>Free VPN
>Video pop-out with controls
>Gesture shortcuts
>Uses divine code to offload background tabs to save memory
>Large addon availability
>Pretty good dark skin (all thats missing is the bookmarks page)
And more...

What's there not to like. Best browser around.

>Chromium reskin
>Compare opera with chrome and not chromium
You know chrome is not just chromium with a Google logo right ...

Opera 8.64 UI & functionalities Master race

Still botnet Chrome but with better features.

redpill me on chromium, is it just chrome that claims to be stripped of google services for privacy etc or is it just some Mountain View psyop?

What features opera has that vivaldi lacks other than a kino logo?

I use it at work for free vpn.

Is chrome's source code.

thanks mate, so just stripped down Chrome like Waterfox is to Firefox?

Pretty much.
The change is more noticeable since chrome is bloated as fuck, but waterfox and chromiun runs pretty much the same on the machines i have tried it. I preffer chrome's interface so i stayed with it.

>VPN
>mobile sync/flow
>botnet newsfeed
>video popout
>Turbo mode aka turn images & videos into dogshit to save 10 kilobytes
>Battery saver
>auto-conversion of currency/temperature/timezones/measurements etc.
>chinese overlords

yeah I found Waterfox to be magnificent, except it keeps the old firefox layout with that customizeable hamburger menu which is about the dumbest fucking arrangement ever.

I am trying Vivaldi at the minute, but I am not liking the side bar, bottom bar, top bar all with different functions. It's about simplicity with me.

Thanks user.

It has integrated pip mode

>>video popout
Thats fucking great.

I only use it to watch porn.

it's a full botnet

Video pop out is fucking great. I wish i could get similar functionality in Firefox.

Vivaldi has it too (it has become a native Chromium feature), but it's not quite as good as Opera.

I like the UI

It's a bad version of Vivaldi that sends your data to Xi, why would you ever use it?

Does it actually work with Netflix and Jewtube now?

It's always worked. Just don't use the shitty free VPN that comes bundled with the browser.

It's Chrome without widevine and shit. If you sign in to your google account it's just as much of a botnet browser, but without support for DRM HTML5 video like Hulu or Netflix

I use it on my phone. And if you think that's bad, I used Dolphin before that.

crap
use Firefox or Chromium

I know it's botnet, but does that matter if I only use it for shitposting/shitbrowsing/unimportant/non-personal stuff?

on both Windows and Android

user you know you can hide those bars and only keep the tab bar open right? I have it set this way and just use the default shortcut if I ever need to open them.

>In November 2016, the original Norwegian owner of Opera sold his stake in the business to a Chinese consortium under the name Golden Brick Capital Private Equity Fund I Limited Partnership for $600 million.

i would like it more if it had middle click to open a new tab like firefox

But you can do that. At the very least, I just did. I didn't even know you could that until you pointed it out.

Tiananmen Square massacre

if the devs or legal team or whoever is responsible for the H.264 issues pulled their heads out of the fucking asses and fixed it, I would use it as my main browser. But instead they fuck around with stupid shit like a slow VPN service. Lmao if your browser doesn't work with 100% of youtube videos you need to quit and find a new job.
