This. The discord "app" is literally just an instance of chromium viewing discord's website, you can even press ctrl+r it and will refresh the webpage. It's a fucking web browser, of course it caches images, that's what web browsers typically do.
Does the Linux client port save the cache to ~/.cache or /tmp/?
Caching to /tmp is dumb because it gets cleared after a reboot. Also it should be illegal because /tmp might be mounted as a tmpfs.
