Using a linux OS...

Using a linux OS, non-google browser and a VPN how difficult would it be for other entities to track what you are doing online?
Any tips for keeping yourself anonymous on the internet?

extremely easy.

Depends on the sites you're using and other programs that you have
You can be tracked even by the width of your browser, which is why Tor gets mad if you use fullscreen

So there's no hope of actually being anonymous on the internet?
seems a bit 1984.

Here's a decent intro. hooktube.com/watch?v=lLessJ4R6w
just ignore decentraleyes and use uMatrix instead.

>hooktube.com/watch?v=lLessJ4R6w
comes up as missing or invalid

If you use the most common resolution like 1920x1080 wouldn't that be safer than windowed mode?

It's missing an 8 at the end, sorry.

If you are serious about anonimity you should get an secure OS made for privacy ( read up on this , to much info to post it all here ) . use tor browser with the highest security settings ( or something similar , dont know if i2p is still alive ) , disable cookies and dont do anything stupid that can give away your info .

ffs , a*

also if this isnt obvious , change your search engine from google to something else since most browsers still use google as a default

As far as im aware , no matter what you do there is always a chance of your ip beeing leaked one way or another . All you can do is minimize the risk . Get a live OS that loads into your ram and leaves no trace of ever beeing used and park near to a internet cafe with your laptop , use the linux macchanger utility . in that case even if your ip leaks its no big deal .

>there is no hope, just give up goyim

unbelievably easy. Using Linux or a non google browser doesn't make you invisible magically. They can make you invisible but they certainly won't if you have to ask.

Give me 10000£ and I show you how to hide from NSA and GCHQ.

>linux OS, non-google browser
Aaand fingerprinted, you're tracked from now on

If they want you they could. Just try to use Foss and look for online service replacements like nextcloud or hosting your own freenas server.

It's hard to say for sure, since 1080p is hardly the only fullscreen resolution. It's one way to limit just you to a single pool of users, so Tor has a standard resolution that can keep all complying users almost anonymous.

If I recall correctly, TOR uses 1000x1000 if possible, right?

Sucks to be a 1366x768 shit laptop user then.

>1366x768
This is still the most common resolution, along with 1080p. Nothing to worry about.
Also, Tor uses 1000x700 which fits 768p fine.

would you mind tell us why you need that?

Everything you do online is worth money. That's major incentive to track what you do and why advertising is a major financier of datamining and AI.
You can hide, but you'll lose plenty of comfort on the internet in the process.

You are trackable at variable degrees, depending on who is tracking. Some just use cookies, others go really far to fingerprint you. Try to make your fingerprint as common as possible and avoid using services that require you to register. More importantly, replace as many software, hardware and services as you can with those that respect your freedom; this is the most important part.
>ignore decentraleyes
Why?

>Why?
It's not really useful.

It strips data from CDN requests and caches them for faster loading and more privacy. I'd say that's useful. I suppose it might increase fingerprinting entropy though.

User agent spoofing, look it up.

Also 0 cache

You need to have a fake personality. Fake your hobbies and interests and make a look like you are a typical 48 y.o boomer who wants to watch porn and funny youtube videos. That way you will be granted a loyalty and will have an ability to use most websites conveniently, especially google services and google captcha. For everything way too personal use tor bundle.
If you use anonymity tools, there is 90% chance website you visit will be broken. You will spend some time in uMatrix trying to configure each website. Google captcha won't work properly with fingerprint spoofing. You will spend more time configuring all of your tools to make one particular website usable. Sometimes you really need to visit some website, even if it's total pile of shit. After some time I guess you will be so tired of this, you will just turn all of your tools off and use it as it is. I'm tired of this shit way too much, at least. I speak about anonymity but I've just solved google captcha to post on the botnet board lmao. Internet is no more freedom and your resistance is delusional.
