At least it isn't electron shit.

I see the e, m, c, and s in the logo but where's the a

it's old clunky and slow. it can look kinda cool sometimes

I think the emacs spectrum is autistic, but they're fucking chads compared to vim redditors.

It can get really slow with some of my .org files. But I'm using spacemacs so maybe that's to be blamed for that.

It's a step above an ordinary unix shell.

Comint mode is one of the most useful pieces of software I ever dealt with.

Lisp.

how can I make emacs work like a c++ IDE?

It has the only useful implementation of lisp

Emacs is a great operating system, lacking only in a decent text editor.

It's fantastic if you can find someone to set you up with all the plugins you need

lsp-mode + clangd + company + projectile

It's just supposed to be "E", not the whole name

Only usable with evil mode, but undeniably powerful once you have that. Quirky lisp dialect, but still the best text editor configuration language available.

Imagine being this autistic, looking for hidden messages in a logo. What next? The FedEx logo has a right arrow in it? Hahaha get a job, kid.

I used this exclusively for developing a matlab model for my physics research position over the summer. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Sadly, it isn't really useful for many applications.

Not that easy to get used to but at least it uses 20-30MB of ram instead of using 300-600MB of ram because of electron.

>it isn't really useful for many applucations
You nigger

It's not Vim
