>usb 3+
>bukkakes the everything within a 200' range with EMI, shitting up bluetooth, wifi, cordless phones, etc.

>WHat we need is more bandwidth! xD

The main problem with USB is host-based processing, the latencies are higher than a direct interface like PCI-express or SATA.

Does host based processing = cpu intensive?

Great, that'll make transferring podcasts to my phone so much faster. Thanks USB, you're my greatest ally!

Why not call it USB 4.0???
why do they love 3 so much???

what's the cable length limit?
0.5 meter?

cringe

Yay for USB being less and less "universal"

Good job not reading, faggot

it's a improvement over the current standard but not a whole generational change

We'll be able to use M.2 SSDs as USB drives. Imagine.

At full speed, I mean.

>the couple of times a month you use a USB drive might be up to a second faster (if you buy all new hardware)
What's wrong with these nibbas?

>USB 3.2 has 20Gb/s

no, it doesn't, you mongoloid brainlet.

USB 3.2 will have speeds from 5Gb/s to 20Gb/s.

Brands won't tell you which one is it to fuck normies up.

new 20Gb/s is known as "USB 3.2 Gen 2×2."
old 10Gb/s is now known as "USB 3.2 Gen 2." (previously "USB 3.1 Gen 2." and "SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps.")
old 5Gb/s is now known as "USB 3.2 Gen 1." (previously "USB 3.0", "SuperSpeed", or "USB 3.1 Gen 1.")

Isn't thunderbolt a closed standard?

It's as if they are specifically going out of their way to fuck with the customer
