Verizon doesn't have a data cap, though if you regularly use more than 10TB in a month they start to monitor you and ask if you're doing anything like hosting services and making money off of the connection.
Obviously to monetize your internet requires a business contract.
It's basically a soft data cap of 10TB, and if you go over it you just need to be able to show that you aren't doing anything that would require a business connection.
Similarly though, because Verizon doesn't have a data cap here, neither does Comcast.

I had the 1gbps plan too and was underwhelmed. my machine isnt certainly not meant for racing and I found I was only getting an extra TB or 2 of upload each month versus a 150mbps plan from Verizon.
The difference wasnt worth 50 dollars. I limit my upload speed to 18 mB/s as it's more than sufficient if I'm the only connectable seeder. I'm set for life buffer and points wise on anyways

It's a soft data cap though, so you aren't throttled and they don't cut off your connection.
It's just when they take notice and make sure you're not doing something that would breach the contract and require you to upgrade to a business line at more than twice the cost.
As long as you're not doing anything they care about, they don't give a fuck even if you hit 30TB a month.

I had hoped when I paid for 1gbps it would mean far more active torrents (seeding a few thousand videos) but it wasnt that much of an increase. and 50 bucks for epeen is paying 2 torrent

You probably are getting fucked because you're internet only.
You save like $50/month by adding Custom infotainment and drama + digital voice.
It's a way to boost their TV subscription numbers, brings their gigabit price down to the same price as the 100mbps. (their current cheapest)
