The 6S Plus is identical, size wise. I loved the SE, it wasn't feeling slow or anything, but the screen resolution was killing me. 7 Plus gave me full 1080p, and it fits in my back pocket no problem. Sucks texting one handed though. They're fairly cheap, easy to find, and I've used that 'model' or whatever (the circle type pattern thing) on all my phones. I used the SE hard for two years and that case did the trick. It looks pretty similar in its basic structure to the one you (or other user) posted, which is why I recommended it. It's not like an otterbox or anything, but I think they do they trick and don't look terrible. If you're 5S case is still healthy and you like it, it will fit perfectly on the SE too, so that's an option as well.

A solid state home button can't wear out or die due to using it with a wet thumb or whatever. Also, it feels exactly the same every single click. The old-style home button is one thing I don't miss from the SE. It's a button you use constantly, and the first thing to wear out, so it made sense to make that nearly impossible.

What I don't understand about Apple is that for such a "forward thinking" company, why would they not continue producing their SE? I get that maybe they're trying to force people into buying bigger screens for ridiculous prices for more profit, but everything I read about the SE before buying it says how everyone loves it, probably the best iphone ever made, and how the few special releases they have sent out sell out very quickly.
We wouldn't they just keep bringing out their new models but keep producing one very good smaller phone? Kinda like how Sony kept releasing games for the PS2 after the PS3 came out because of how good it was

The first thing I did when I got mine was jailbreaking it and setting the activator so that all I needed to do for the home button was hold my thumb over it and not even press it down due to paranoia about it breaking. Did that with my 5S for years as well

That always stressed me out as well; the solid state one is really great. Too bad the home button is gone forever. Android was literally designed to harvest data; it's all the company that made it does, and that's all it was ever intended to do. There's nothing tinfoil about it. Just discovered that the Note 7/Pro is only 8.1mm because of the camera popping out quite prominently, and it's actually very sleek. So I'll get her that if it manages to come out in 2 weeks tops or otherwise the Honor 8x which is still pretty nice and premium looking and with decent (but worse) specs. Camera is a toss up for her usage case because Note 7/pro has deff better back camera but worse selfie one, oh well.
