Ever heard of a British company called "Autonomy Ltd"? 22 Years ago they were hiring some of the best linguists, philosophers, mathematicians, translators, psychologists, and physicists money could buy. Their programmers worked with these people. They were making advances in robotics and autonomous AI, fingerprint recognition, facial recognition etc. HP bought the company for billions and ruined it LOL programmers dont need to specialise in other disciplines, they specialise in logic and data structures

High school math and targeted self-study is all any person should ever need unless they're doing academic research projects. Ideally you should be smart/educated enough to read a whitepaper (which is such a retarded term, who came up with that anyway? they're just called papers) on a subject and apply it in a suitable language.
