fedora workstation.

Gentoo

Mint Cinnamon

fpbp

Kali Linux - running off a macbook.

this. It's so great.

Fedora Cinnamon spin. The best of both worlds.

why does Mint still even come with MATE? Does anyone use it?

Arch Linux

Manjaro KDE

Enter the Void

Void

Mint shouldn't even exist. The only two things of actual value that Mint offers over Ubuntu are a pre riced Cinnamon desktop and Timeshift. Since Timeshift is being added to Ubuntu's repo next release, all that remains is an Ubuntu Cinnamon spin.

Gentoo

all the ubuntu spins like ubuntu mate ive used have been pretty shite. Mint Mate seems like a good choice for a uni laptop or something.

Devuan GNU/Linux
>stable
>consistent experience across all my systems
>easy to maintain
>lightweight, easy on thinkpad battery

GNU/Linux - Arch seems nice
Linux - Alpine is comfy, apart from retarded installation process

>Devuan
How difficult is maintaining a distro without Systemd?

Is Alpine Linux good as a primary desktop OS for daily use?

Void

They should do a decade long study to see if there is any correlation with an obsession with Lain and suicide or brain damage.

T2 Linux
LTS
Or maybe Gentoo

Fuckoff. Lain is cute and obsessing over her is based and redpilled.

void for me, but i like guixsd and gentoo too

Arch and Debian

Its escapist porn for suicidal idiots.

Arch, except riced out with i3 and a custom made anime wallpaper.

Just kidding, its debian. Debian forever faggot.

>no systemd
no thanks

Kek

Seriously, go for Debian with i3 WM. Really nice to use and i3 is easily configurable.

Debian stable if you don't wanna risk anything and want a productive machine ultra stable
If you need the newest software for whatever your needs are I guess Arch

Gentoo, unironically

Void Linux
For BSD it has got to be FreeBSD

Bunsenlabs: Debian with working wifi for my dumb Toshiba laptop

Retard just get the non-official ISO that contains non-free firmware.

Any distribution that works well and on which you actually get work done. Bonus points for the opportunity to learn about system internals (but you can do that on any distro). Anything else comes down to being a hipster.

Also, unless you r e a l l y understand what it is and why you might not want it, the presence of systemd should not be of any concern to you.

The one I use.
The one you use is pretty nice too.

how mean of you

SEL is mediocre but you're a manlet so your opinion is irrelevant.

Void if you want rolling. Debian if you want stable/semi-rolling. Gentoo if you want to be a Jow Forumsentooman.
