Are chink cheap CPUs worth it? I wanna buy one and mix it with used/spare parts just for hobby, might fuck around with Loonix while i’m at it. Could these even work with a modern distro?
It's neat, but quite limited in functionality. I like to listen to my music by artist/album, and the only sorting you get is by folder. Also, on my bluetooth headset only the volum up/down buttons actually do anthing, so i cant change songs and pause/play with the headset buttons, which is rather annoying.
I dont use playlists, but i can test if they work once i get home, i'll make another post.

why not just get it from ebay for the same price
Benjamin Price
> Are chink cheap CPUs worth it? Yup. Bought me an i7 2600K because I love OC, now Xeon E3-1230 can be acquired for half of that. Also got that 1230 for my homeserver, no issues. > modern distro They should, i386 arch is dropped, but all of them support AMD64.
> >they seemingly sell the same pjìhones and other stuff at slightly different prices This is not an "official" store, so it's another third party. > is this the right version to use in Europe? Should be, if it's the "global" version. Although consider this: some sellers reflash chink phones while leaving their bootloaders locked, so in theory any update could bork them. Whether your apparatus will be really global or reflashed chink, nobody can tell.
Ryder Allen
>Global Local Warranty.
Thats a fake chief
Leo Kelly
I bought two for old think pads. They work.
Aaron Walker
What do?
Gabriel Powell
Got a bigger chinkshit today. If you follow this blog, you'll note that I switched the model. This thing probably tripled the combined /csg/ expenses and my Chinese seller friend is doing booze and hookers until the end of the week now.
It is definitely a lightweight bike, will have to test it a bit before I know if it is actually good though.
I've been there, in that situation. Anything could've happened, probably customs didn't like the declaration, so they sent the item back. Once a chink seller receives the item, he'll send another one. Considering the first cancellation and resending took a week and a half for me, it would've been faster to cancel the order and get another one immediately from another seller. Anyway, it could be different for you. Maybe your seller is a liar, maybe he didn't get the information about cancellation yet.

>chink gaming chair last thread >chink bike this thread absolute mad lads
how much did it cost?
Nathan Wilson
> absolute mad lads I haven't determined yet if it was a silly idea or not. So far, it's a well-prepared bike, light, and seems to make sense. Plus that they cared to properly package it is of course always a good sign.
Legend. Does it even support rockbox? I'd be curious to see how it goes.
Aaron Sullivan
>spending 1.5k on a no-name chinkbike when he could get the same from a well respected brand with full support, tuning guarantees and everything for maybe 500 more
You certainly are a mad lad. Tell us how it behaves, need details on breaks, gear changing, frame and saddle
Samuel White
I have no idea if it supports it, and i've never fucked around with such things so i'm not even sure if i should try it, only to brick the player or something
Alexander Adams
yes, Czech republic is pretty normal country they have great porn
Isaac Butler
Do chinks have old cheap gpus? I need anything that can output 1080p solitaire over hdmi.
Aaron Smith
the shipping company probably has a sorting centre or something there
have you confirmed the weight? like if you step on a bathroom scale with and without the bike and check the difference
Samuel Wilson

The used market for tech in my country does not exist, they’re all illiterate people who sell shit HP prebuilt for like 200 euros because “computer werks, you can do anything with it even if it’s old”
How do I make sure that won't happen. Guys please help me.
Ian Mitchell
That thing is not worth picking up even if it was free. If it was an old inefficient laptop with those stats then it would be worth $45.
Wyatt James
Told you. People here (Italy) don’t know jack shit about computers so either they throw them in the garbage or charge an exorbitant amount for every useless old machine.
i often watch a britbong on youtube going around flea markets, buying parts for like 5/10£ at most and doing cool projects with them. Every time i tried doing that here i found nothing.
Blake Brown
>flea markets i've seen immigrants with big stacks of old HDDs probably all garbage
Jordan Diaz
Not even the dog is that fast. Fuck, I feel utterly chinked.
> You certainly are a mad lad "/csg/ normal", maybe? I might just order another one (other model?) really soon, for my old man. Or this one goes to my old man. I'll see.
> tuning guarantees and everything for maybe 500 more I don't think that's the case around here. Maybe I'm wrong.
> need details on breaks, gear changing Shimano 105 R7000 groupset. Works just fine. It's also almost correctly adjusted despite the transport route going China->Thailand->India->and then some stops in neighbouring Europe.
Also it has matching Shimano 105 brakes (not the levers, the brakes themselves), but on that end I don't care much. I've repaired city/touring/e-bikes with full Chinesium brakes and honestly the brakes themselves are now ~just as effective. It is pretty much only a weight difference.
The only thing I'd have done slightly differently is to use teflon-coated cables for more glide.
> frame Light, robust. That one is actually very well-made. I could do some close-up shots of some parts.
> saddle The post isn't a basic construction, it's an ovaloid carbon post with friction texturing on the lower part. The saddle is nice and lightweight, but I imagine it's something you can get for any bike.
> how it behaves Yup, fine so far. The only thing I've noticed is that the wheel hubs are a bit click click click noisy. Not really inefficient, but louder than others I've had.
Jaxson Nelson
I've already put on the pedals and street law compliance reflectors. But I'll try this in an hour or so.
okay what the fuck there are like 5 different MI stores on Ali, how do I know which one is the official ones and which ones are third party but reliable?
Hudson Diaz
>how do I know which one is the official ones none of them, they're all third party
Elijah Cook
I told them if they don't keep it a secret I will return them, is that enough or they will make sure I suffer? Though I'm not sure if they will even understand me. Also I can post when they come and how they shipped if someone is interested and wants to know how it works.
Hey /csg/ I need a little help. I ordered 6 identical items from an aliexpress seller (I ordered from them before, they sent the correct amount) and they sent just 1 this time. I contacted the seller to try to sort out the issue and they said they will refund me but I declined. I told them that I would like to receive the remaining 5 items, not the money. After many ping-pong messages they said that okay, they will try to make a new tracking number for the remaining 5 items. Again, after MANY ping-pong messages they are now saying that they cannot create a new tracking number and I have to order something from them and they will bundle it together with the remaining 5 items I wanted originally.
Am I getting chinked and should I resolve the issue by declaring a dispute?
Julian Baker
dispute it, get your money back and order again
Brayden Edwards
Speedtest plz.
Joseph Williams
this, you made it more complicated than necessarily, should have just got your money back and opened another order.
Jace Howard
Yes, its a V30 U3 I have used a Ugreen USB3 adapter. The gift adapter is shit, I could see ~20MB read-write speed iirc. Do not use it!
aliexpress.com/item/stupid-dog/32965742502.html Can't believe I paid more for a cartoon dog, it performs just like other 3 sharks and I'm using a ugreen adapter too. I'd like to believe user god a card from a godly batch or is just a shill.
Caleb King
Been using my pair of i10 for about 2 months now. They sound about on par with normal ear/airpods. I get about 2 to 2.5 hours on a charge. The case gives it almost another 2 charges. Some issues i have with it is that the left pod drops out sometime, the pods not turning off in the case, the case draining its battery, and the touch controls are shitty. From what ive seen, there are 2 versions of the i10 and theres a i10s. I got the older i10, so maybe shit has been ironed out. Overall its a pretty ok choice for wireless earbuds.
reminder that referral links are the lifeblood of /csg/
Luke Turner
Forgot to mention, they work like a master/slave type way. Only one side connects to the phone directly. I think the i10s can have either side connect
Andrew Rodriguez
Well, the benchmark looks good The h2testw write started at 300 MB/s but slowly went down and finished at 55 MB/s The readback was a consistent 300ish MB/s
Sooo... it's okay for the system I'm going to put it in, but for my actual computers I'd want a more consistent experience
Currently Writing on my previous SD card properties. 12-16mb/s. Keep in my that the external hdd Im using is basically full
Anthony Gomez
I have the 2 in 1 variation of that. It still reads at 85mb/s~ and writes at 35mb/s~.

Looking for recommendations for 5 or so inexpensive gopro-like alternatives. That can do at least 720p@60fps. They'll be used at lab stations in an elementary classroom setting, so ideally they shouldn't break the bank when one of the kids accidentally destroys it, which just so happens to be why I'm looking for cheap gopro alternatives in the first place...
Liam Sanders
Thanks user. Here's my Samsung 850 EVO for comparison.
Everything. New mobo, new CPUs, a new GPU, new RAM, and a new switch (the switch I'll probably buy from Amazon, but I'm open to suggestions). Considering the server was thrown together in 2005, it's time to upgrade. On a side note, what are some fun things I can do with an old server?
Carter Thompson
Can you recommend me an entry level chink FPGA please?
Ethan Thompson
I still use an old E5472 based server for web and file hosting. While it sounds boring as fuck, it's fun for me because I actually learned how to do command line shit with this thing when an old co-worker threw it on my desk and said I could have it. I'll probably upgrade at some point, but for now, it does what I need it to do. What would you want to do with your server? You could probably still use old but inexpensive parts if you don't need anything cutting edge.
Run an IRC server, mail server, small-ish modded Minecraft server, and a Plex server. I might use the old server as a dedicated NAS. Nothing super beefy, but it'd be nice to have extra power.
Andrew Wood
(cont'd) Ok, I measured it. ~8.5kg with pedals and reflector on cheap bathroom scales.
I'll measure again if I find the luggage scales, but I'd say it basically checks out vs. the specified ~8.3kg without pedals.
Maybe I fucked up with the colour choice.
OTOH the black design seems like it's less likely to get stolen by some casual opportunistic thieves, particularly once I get another cassette and mount alu-rimmed wheels.
Logan Gonzalez
>Ok, I measured it. ~8.5kg with pedals and reflector on cheap bathroom scales. that's pretty good hopefully it won't fall apart on you going downhill at 40mph
there was an user who imported a chink car to the US in this thread a few months ago
Luke Young
When we were the sick man of Asia, we were called the yellow peril. When we are billed to be the next superpower, we are called the threat. When we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to open markets. When we embrace free trade, you blame us for taking away your jobs. When we were falling apart, you marched in your troops and wanted your fair share. …… When we tried to put the broken pieces back together again, free Tibet you screamed, It was an invasion! When tried communism, you hated us for being communist. When we embrace capitalism, you hate us for being capitalist. When we have a billion people, you said we were destroying the planet. When we tried limiting our numbers, you said we abused human rights. When we were poor, you thought we were dogs. When we loan you cash, you blame us for your national debts. When we build our industries, you call us polluters. When we sell you goods, you blame us for global warming. When we buy oil, you call it exploitation and genocide. When you go to war for oil, you call it liberation. When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you demanded rules of law. When we uphold law and order against violence, you call it violating human rights. When we were silent, you said you wanted us to have free speech. When we are silent no more, you say we are brainwashed-xenophobes. “Why do you hate us so much?”we asked. “No,” you answered, “we don't hate you.” We don't hate you either, but, do you understand us? “Of course we do, ”you said, “We have AFP, CNN and BBC's ……” What do you really want from us? Think hard first, then answer, because you only get so many chances. Enough is enough, enough hypocrisy for this one world. We want one world, one dream, and peace on earth. This big blue earth is big enough for all of us.
Cooper Harris
I've just ordered a chink 1TB SSD for $100. Not to worry, it's just for games and similar non-important stuff. I've got a Samsung 850 EVO for Windows.
Any DIY power banks that are better than the TOMO S4?
Carson Jones
So you could probably still get away with running older hardware, except when the plex server is in consideration, but only when you need to be able to transcode. But even then, popping an older video card in and having plex use the gpu for transcoding would still allow you to use inexpensive hardware. So as long as it's something that from the LGA771 era and up, you should be good. Those old server parts can be found on ebay and even at local sales for cheap. The video card you might pay a little extra for, and then of course there's the storage, but all of this could still be had for cheap.
Ryder Allen
Gotcha. Thanks for the advice, user.
Michael Young
>tfw no replies
William Carter
because nobody understood wtf you're talking about
Jackson Lewis
About sending me the packages without saying outright that its chastity and fucking aneros. I just hope they don't fuck it up but its the fuckings chinks, man.
Sebastian Reyes
The Chinese manufacturer expected this concern - most of the sales pitch is actually this.
There's nothing about specs or anything in the video.
Our you could just buy them from a normal shop if you want privacy and safety. I wouldn't comfortably use chink onas or buttstuff.
says the guy who drinks tea and beer from his chink Yeti
Cooper Murphy
I think we need a bigger replay button, I barely noticed it.
Benjamin Hall
picture?
Connor Martin
Tell me about the SN30 pro. I am waiting for mine on the mail (if my local post office decides to get their shit together) and want to know if it was a good buy or not
Luis Fisher
Kek, you can get these machines from local school's auction for ~5€.
Mason Mitchell
Does anybody know where i can get a signal jammer?
Brandon Rivera
Single chip or many small ones in some corncob arrangement? 50W LED sounds quite strong.
David White
Full China, yes. That guy has the worst aim, too.
BTW thanks for your concern, I might not deserve it however. Pic related.
Huh, that's pretty good in terms of capacity vs price. Do the Chinese now manufacture the storage NAND chips themselves?
Julian Sanchez
>normal shop if you want privacy and safety Like, this is the safest way I can think of.
Evan Fisher
That's pretty neat. Seems a bit minimalist on safety though, with the exposed 220V contacts and all that.
Do you put them in a case?
Aiden Roberts
Canada is back up to speed on shipping, but all three things I ordered were broken. 1 Redmi note 4X charging port. Mine was fucked and wouldn't connect to any PC for bootloader unlocking, but it was like that when I got it. Replacing it was easy, but now I can't use the loudspeaker, vibration. Charging is fine.
The replacement tempered glass arrived just straight fucking broken.
