What is THE best gaming headset?

Nothing about price or anything else. I have a g933 and their software is buggy.

(Not look for supreme audiophile shit)

To the user who wanted my opinion on the AHG sheepskin leather pads for my HD800.
They arrived today.
They sound just as good as with stock pads. Only difference is that the bass / lower end has a tiny bit more presence, in a very tasteful way.
Might get the Dekoni ones at some point to compare.

I think deluding yourself into thinking you're something that you're not and taking drugs you don't need is kinda bad

>other people doing things with there body is bad and they should STOP
as long as they don't change law to force people to like it, there's nothing wrong with people mutilating themselves

> there is nothing wrong with mental illness
Ok kid

there's nothing wrong with people mentally ill

mental illness*
oops lel

Faggots should be round up and gassed. Go back to your tranny discord channel

there's nothing wrong with being gassed or tranny discord

You can't force other to do or not do something but not everything is spring and roses and shit has consequences and I think people should be more aware of what they do to themselves as the result doesn't always outweigh the side effects

ok I'll agree with that

where did you buy them

What headphones are you wearing right now/last ones you wore?

There is no need for a headphone general when headphones were perfected more than 30 years ago.

so you're the guy spamming dt990 for every recommendation the last few threads

Got mine off of Amazon.

Even if you figured that out he would go back to being Anonymous starting from his next post.

With a mic? HyperX Cloud 2 is good.

With no mic, probably DT 990.

Based planar magnetic master race

Any canadians here who've used ebay? Did you pay duties or taxes?

DT 990 Pro.

It's something that is forgiven and overlooked. I have other mental illnesses of my own i gotta worry about. There aren't alot of people that are "normal", everyone has a con. And i habe never been bothered by a gay person before.

My headphone story:

I started with M50s a few years ago. Uncomfortable, but sounded pretty good. Hardly used them at all. They stayed in their box for the better part of their life.

A few years later want something open, so I bought the SHP9500s. Very impressed and very comfortable.

I think to myself, hmm, what can be better than this?

Buy K702. Underwhelmed. No bass, sound is a bit boring. I was surprised that it was not as good as the SHP9500s.

A little while later, buy HD6XX. Bass is better than the SHP9500s and K702 - good. But that veil is real. Not a fan of the muddy/dark treble. Also they are very tight and pads seem pretty bad.

Look into other sets - DT 990 600 ohm. Finally, an actual upgrade from the SHP9500s. Better bass, better soundstage - perfect set for me. Even more comfortable than SHP9500s. I'm done for a long time now.

Attached: DT 990 600ohm.jpg (1500x1125, 350K)

dont mind me, just being the best work headphones

Attached: pm-3_01.jpg (500x635, 61K)

This is true.

But open back headphones have very limited use.

1. You can't use them outside cause all you nice frequency response goes to garbage when it's superimposed on all the traffic and noises from the world around you that you can easily hear.

2. At home, they can't compare to the experience and comfort of normal speakers. I think of someone sitting in their own house, and instead of enjoying their music filling the room and being comfy, rather being confined to his cuckcorner attached to a cable with his open back headphones buzzing. That's laughable.

I mean what's the point in the end?
A contrived situation where the sound of speakers is causing issue with others, but the lower (still audible) sound of open speakers doesn't? Or that you want to blast at full volume but have shitty insulation in your flat so can't use actual speakers?

The only plausible sitiuation I can think of, is if you're an absolute poorfag (student on a budget etc.), you get some $200 open headphones instead of $400 speakers that would give the same quality, willing to trade comfort for budget.

>They sound just as good as with stock pads. Only difference is that the bass / lower end has a tiny bit more presence, in a very tasteful way.
That sounds pretty good user. I was that user yesterday. It might just be a better pad then. Are they more comfy than stock?

POO

IN

LOO

Why didn't you just buy a single pair of headphones that aren't entry level instead of all of these $200 mediocrephones?

This.

People having open backs need at least another pair for daily carry.
Nobody should be getting open back headphones as their first or only pair.

Probably the best answer for value.

>their software is buggy
Works flawlessly with me buddy.

>Nobody should be getting open back headphones as their first or only pair.
I would since I don't listen to anything outside. And my house is dead silent so no issues for me.

Selling the others. I wanted to test the waters. What would be an upgrade for like ~$500? I got the DT 990 600 ohm for $189 CAD. I paid more for the K702 and the HD6XX.

I'm very skeptical now about "high end" because of my experience with those other sets that were supposed to be better. I'm very happy with what I have now.

Terrible advice. I only use headphones are home, and therefore I only have open headphones.

I'll admit you're right. Headphones were basically my childhood answer to wanting to enjoy audio content without having to stop being insecure about family members hearing.
And now it's a stupid hobby that achieves nothing except funnel my autism.

DT 770 PRO

hi /hpg/ my headphones fell whilst cleaning today and the plasic part holding the cups to the head strap broke, was very happy with my DT 770 PRO otherwise.
any suggestions on what to get?

Got my hands on my He400s today. The confort is pretty great actually, contrary to many reviewers said, however, i'm still to experience the spaciality it should have against my older akg pleb cans.
The highs are pretty nicely detailed, and the bass is feels a little recessed, but i've only listened to onew album so far.

Attached: he400s.jpg (716x760, 111K)

Why don't you get speakers?
Speakers will always have better sound than headphones, like open back headphones have better sound than closed back ones.
And having nothing on your ears will always be infinitely better than having the comfiest headphones on earth.

Plus it's a much more enjoyable to fill the room with sound, while you go with your daily tasks, working, studying, cooking, showering, whatever.

I mean how much do you think you'd have to spend for decent monitor speakers?
I've seen people spend stupid amounts (over $600) on open back headphones, that's as much as a set of active monitors. And in the end of the day it's just headphones that you can only use inside your house.

Send them back if you don't like them. Learn from my mistakes.

>Why don't you get speakers?
I don't want to blast my porn and anime noises to my neighbor.

I actually agree with you about speakers, I really enjoy listening to music with my DT 990 Pros, but I vastly prefer listening to music on my speakers. I do think it's rather subject though, for the longest time I would always prefer listening to music on my headphones but in the last two years I've come to prefer sound from speakers a lot more. Maybe it's just getting older.

There is no upgrade really, once you buy DT 990 you've basically reached the end.

I have speakers too. We can like both you know.

fatty

I didn't said i don't like them, i've just started to scratch the surface. I've never owned planars before, so i'm looking foward to it still.

Unless you live in a very bourgeois area, going out with anything expensive is generally a bad idea regardless.

Just get the DT 990 Pro. You've already experienced sound close to perfection with the DT 770, now it's time to summit.

How's the soundstage? How can the bass be recessed, isn't that what planars are supposed to excel at?

DT 990 600 ohm is flagship and super comfortable.

I don't know shit about audio, please help me.

thx user I think I will get those

DT770, DT880 or DT990?
All of them are 250 Ohm.

Attached: Beyer-Headphone-Lineup.jpg (1200x606, 153K)

consider stretching that budget a bit

DT990 is just a side-step form the DT770. Same drivers, different tuning.

See: head-fi.org/threads/guide-sonic-differences-between-dt770-dt990-models-more.513393/

Once again, see: head-fi.org/threads/guide-sonic-differences-between-dt770-dt990-models-more.513393/

Remember, they all have the same drivers, just with different tuning and either closed (770), semi-open (880) or open (990).

Personally, I prefer the DT880s as they sound more balanced than the 770s (too dark) and 990s (too bright).

Try to find DT 990. It will cost a bit more than that, but worth it.

Sniff my feet nostax incel headfier

DT 990 600 ohm premium edition is the best version of the dt 990.

I'm not too experienced in headphones, my previous headphones were AKG k414s (AKG's Porta Pro alternatives).
I'm driving them off of my mobo's headphone jack (Asus Z87 Extreme4, should support up to 600 Ohm), volume seems normal, and soundstage seems leaps and bounds from my older AKG's, it's not as detailed as i thought it'd be, but it feels in a way "bigger", like as if the instruments were further apart from each other, without sounding empty.
I was expecting the bass to be really full and fat as my forearm, but it's not a nigger bass. Cans are gigantic, way bigger than the biggest headset i've ever owned (G930).

Thanks, I'm going to check it out.

How much should I? I can spent more money but not right now, a help from audiophiles would be good at least for starting.

DT 990.

Honestly, you might want to consider an external DAC and Amp. Since you have a couple good pairs now, I'd recommend it. Mobo output impedance is usually just so high, and it's best to get the audio components outside of the PC case.

Whatever it costs you to get a pair of DT 990s.

no basd

How much for the HD6XX?

If you've heard them, you'd know.

Cool, are they expensive? I probably going to buy it, I quality.

Only going to ship in Canada. Not sure how much to ask for yet - they are mint.

that they sound like shit

Like wearing the most comfy little pillows on your head. Comfort doesn't get any better.

No problem my dude

Like the other guy said, stretch your budget a tiny bit and get the DT 990.

Obviously, the difference is in the physical design of them. The open design sounds a lot better to me, though all of them are obviously the absolute peak in headphones.

Superlux 668B, probably

I recommend the Topping D10 DAC. I paired with the Massdrop O2 amp and I find it to be a great combo. Plenty of power with lots to spare.
