>autologin was disabled

Based

Greetings mortal.
Are you ready to die?

>shut computer down for evening
>go to bed
>hear startup noise from other room
>check computer, it's shut down but warm

>didn't disable wake timers
u iz dum

>didn't actually shut down
See above.

>start up PC
>command line flashes for a second

whats wrong with that?

A virus or other malicious program used it to do something uncool in that split second it popped up.

i always disable sleep mode, because i fear putting my computer to sleep and it never waking up again.

>sleep mode disabled
>monitor set to auto on/off
>set up camera
>leave home
>come back home
>nothing out of place
>review footage
>monitor turns on
>displays lock screen for few seconds
>monitor turns off
>no one home

Super virus or Ghostie?

That's pretty normal desu senpai

Maybe computer super aids but ghost sounds plausible too. It used to happen when I sleep too since the monitor lights up the room and wakes me up for a split second but it doesn't anymore

Windows 10? My laptop sometimes wakes up from sleep during the forced 6 hour window. Very annoying, the window is during night. I tried power plan settings and something else but didnt help. Monitor doesnt turn on so I cant even but it back to sleep and the fan noise kills me. Keyboard doesnt respond either. Just have to wait it out 5-25minutes.

>Leave to go to work
>Gf using pc when I leave
>Swears she turned it of before leaving
>Get home pc on fans going hyperspeed
>Bios somehow cranked the cpu voltage to 6.5v
>Complete cpu meltdown

>put computer to sleep
>go to bed
>get woken up by PC fans
>woke itself up for some reason

>put pc to sleep
>wakes up literally a couple minutes later
now I always have to turn the paso com off or it wakes itself up

winfags always get scared by a terminal

If you have pending windows updates it literally ignores the settings you have and wakes up the computer.

Based Windows Update

>start up pc
>leave corporeal dimension
>I am one with the light
>I am one
>I am zero
>being

just uninstall farcry 3 blood dragon, or delete their stupid batch file that adds it into the registry every time your PC boots.
TERMINAL BOX SCARY!!!!
>he thinks its a ghost when its literally wangblows update
>he got h4xx0r'd and pwn3d by wake on lan
based. what happens when quantum computers tho?

Look at this prime example of autism.
This is why noone likes Loonix and Loonixfags.

>turn off pc and go to bed
>wake up in the middle of the night from pc turning on

How is this possible? It was fully shut off. Not in hibernation or sleep mode. Also was dualbooting if that matters. When I woke up pc was in grub menue; about to boot into Debian.

Anyone ever tried programming stuff in the astral dimension? I tried creating a thread about it but I keep getting banned.

>start firefox compiling before sleeping
>wake up
>it's still compiling

based

>Super virus
it's called windows

>use w7
>put laptop in standby
>it wakes up by itself
>it goes in standby again
what's up with that spooky shit ms

>Windows 10

I always found it incredible that there are people smart enough to grasp basic programming and yet at the same time dumb enough to believe in astral dimensions.
Human mind is a wonder.

Wow I read that and the music started playing in my head. Dammit nostalgia, go away, I need to be productive.

>Laptop stays idle for several minutes
>fans start working loudly

What the fuck is astral dimension? Tell me more.

BIOS wake can be configured by the OS. Windows probably does it for updates.

you realize you reside in the 4th out of an infinite number of dimensions, no? and that you are a weird smelly flesh robot roaming around a wet rock suspended in infinite and endless (questionably) endless space?

>go to sleep
>computer tells me to wake up

>go to sleep
>never wake up

powercfg -lastwake

Used to have this problem of my computer not staying asleep, used to drive me nuts. Eventually figured out I had to prevent my Naga Epic from being able to wake my computer as both a mouse and a keyboard.
