Airlines says they're installing 13.3" 4K resolution screens on all economy seats

>airlines says they're installing 13.3" 4K resolution screens on all economy seats

They make 13.3" 4K panels?

its quatar airways, i bet the economy seats still cost a fuck lot, and they probably got the screens custom made considering the ammount they need

literally why the fuck, 4k on 15.6' laptops is useless let alone 4k on 13'

Some Arab dick measuring contest, I'd assume.

70 rows per plane, even 100 planes give 7000 panels which isn't a big amount by any means.

depending on who made them they probably got a nice discount for buying in bulk, i doubt they go to wallmart for the screens in any case

mite b cool if they included some kind of magnifying goggles so the 4k screen fills your field of vision.

>USB Type C
If they don't also have a type A right next to it then they dun goofed

Dell XPS13 has an option for a 4K screen.
12.5" 4K also exists.
Even 5.7" 4K exists.

Why not? 4k 5.5" smartphone panels exist, and so do 4k laptop panels.
I don't know about Qatar air, but economy flights to UAE are pretty cheap. I think it's, because they really want the tourism.

my phone is 4k and it came out in 2015
wake up op

what the actual fuck is the point of 4k at 13inches. Just use 1080p and leave it at that

There are 12 4k 13.3" panels around.

>They make 13.3" 4K panels?
I hope you lived under a rock for the past 4 years where high end compact laptops all had the option of a 4k 13.3" screen

What site is this?

HDR on 4k is quite nice.

Business class seats have had high res screens for a bit but don't think 4k

It's about to get nuts for laptops, several oems showed of 4k oled screen options

Are you fucking blind

Even my older mbp which isn't 4k had a huge difference to a 1080p laptop

VA panel lmao

>why.jpeg
Anyone claiming they can tell the difference between 1080p and 4K on a 13" screen is bullshitting.

Better than TN.

I can tell the difference from 2k, and 1080p on a 5.8" screen.
2k is better than 1080p btw.

70 rows times 10 seats is 700 panels per plane you dingus

Is oled even safe yet? A non-replaceable laptop screen is the last place I'd want one even though I'm desperate for good oled to be a thing

>moar is always better, fuck human limitations

>The human ear can't hear past 15 fps, and 489p

>Is oled even safe yet?
Certainly not for airline screens.
One of the worst places to use them in terms of burn in.

>more for same or less is a bad thing
>i don't want tech to improve
>has never used a higher res display

Even the macs aren't 4k and they're pretty fucking nice

dynamic range is completely unrelated to resolution

4k screens yet less legroom than SouthWest.

That's a big yikes from me!

70*100=7000

smoothbrain

>Qatar Airways
They can afford.

What are you talking about, iMacs are 5K.

If you can clearly tell the difference between 1080p and 1440p on a 6" screen, why not.

how many seats to a row then, retard?
is each row going to share one screen?
are you going to just pretend to be retarded?

I was gonna ask why but then remembered how Sony made a 4k phone screen so who cares at this point
