Back to your shitting street.

Don't have a camera. But I do have some PowerBooks from the mid-late 90s.

You guys are sick people, man.

What, clamshells? I don't have one. I do have a 12" powerbook g4, though, and it's pretty good. Especially the Open Firmware. UEFI totally sucks ass compared to it.

Fuck off street shitter.

Zoomers don't even remember when Apple hardware was good because they weren't fucking born then.

They weren't ever "bad".
They where just always overpriced, and limited in functionality.

Macshit was never good. Fuck off street shitter.

Now what about their competitors at that time?

Literacy not your forte is it mactoddler?

I recently picked up another iMac G3 for pretty cheap which was the Flowerpower model. Ordered some new RAM for it and going to play some cool shit when it arrives in a week or two. Hopefully the slot loader isn't fucked.

What are you guys working on right now?

see

I got a couple of white iBook G3s for free. With their parts combined I might be able to get a functioning one.

Waiting on money for ram for the tower and fresh HDDs (or ghetto rigged cf cards, I don't use these much anyways) all around.
The PowerBook gets painfully hot when plugged in so its probably going to be relegated to shelf candy sadly.

I put my Aluminium PowerBook on a heatsink while I compiled a newer GCC. Shit took at least eight hours.

>limited in functionality

This wasn't the case, previously. iBooks / PowerBooks had great I/O. Much more so than the average laptop on the market at the time.

This is true. People are just too young to remember Apple from their upturn when they were very good. The only thing that annoys me is ADB, but that's a minor gripe.

G4's are unironically still the prettiest computers ever created
iMac G4, iBook G4, PowerBook G4.

iBooks/PowerBooks suffered from Steve jobs inspired benchmarks. They where all shit weird fucking benchmarks, and they weren't all that powerful at all. If you where older you'd remember everyone making fun of their "benchmarks", and methodology.
People are just too young to remember >Apple from their upturn when they were very good.
But apple always had overpriced hardware. Remember the saying
>The fastest Apple Mac was an Amiga
Amigas where cheaper.
And post Microsoft/gates bailout Apple was still playing the same shitty overpricing game, but on turbo mode.

>They where all shit weird fucking benchmarks, and they weren't all that powerful at all. If you where older you'd remember everyone making fun of their "benchmarks", and methodology.
You mean the Intel sponsored benchmarks? Are you fucking daft?

I never argued that they were super powerful or anything like that. A Pentium M at the same clocks would probably decimate a G4. And, yes, there was some hebraic trickery used to fudge the (((benchmarks))).
