apparently so is taking photos while lying down

what? I expect it to take hours copying a file that large

should take under 10 minutes, the powerline adapters are supposed to operate at up to 1.2 Gbps but using some tool I found they're only at like 120 Mbps up and 90 down or some shit

>he fell for the maximum theoretical bandwidth meme
also powerline is only supposed to be used when:
1. Wifi cable is not an option
2. Too much infetterence for wifi

Yeah I can't run the wifi cabling down to my room because I live in my mom's basement and she won't let me and this PC is old and the wireless card isn't so great so it's actually worse than the powerline

maybe I should just get a wireless card for this computer? My laptop in my bed connects at like good speed but it has 802.11ac card

do you have coax in the house? moca works fine for me getting a signal upstairs, i live in nyc and the neighborhood is flooded with 2.4GHz wifi signals so i stick to wired and 5GHz

Werks for me. Max out my 150 mbps line :)

guys I think I'll just buy a wireless card that's better than the onboard on this old machine, my 5 GHz network only has my phone and laptop on it and none of my neighbors are close enough to interfere so it should work nicely if I get a decent card.

if you get a solid connection with your phone then it'll probably be fine but 5ghz already has trouble penetrating walls, and since wifi antennas tend to be designed to propagate horizontally, you might want to set up a repeater halfway up the stairs for a stronger signal.

yeah my phone and laptop both do fine down here

I'm gonna get a USB one so I can put it on an extension cable and move it around like rabbit ears for TVs until I get a good signal
