No, that's actually a really good practice.
Here's mine:

10:30:51 up 34 days, 20:06, 5 users, load average: 0.11, 0.24, 0.42
Had to turn it off to move it recently, everything just came back up on boot perfectly

I just updated chrome so my memory usage hasn't yet reached nominal levels of around 60GB.
I also run VMs doing this and that, which aren't running at the moment.
