I know you are just being ironic but let me explain this for some people who are new to linux.

There are some linux programs that are designed in such a way that they expect the user that installs and uses it to be a sudoer and no the root user. It's not that it's impossible to design such a program so that root can be the user. it's just that the designer of such programs didn't decide to do that.

You can use most programs as root, but eventually you will come across a program that doesn't like this and it won't work properly. that's fine if you are goofing around on your home machine but on a production server you can't do that.
