Apple's mac os is designed to be run by baby's and poor people. It does this by limiting what the user can or cannot do. A simple thing like git is a pain to set up because instead of just installing you have to install shit like dev tools and then you can get git to run somewhat. Also apple drops older devices very easily so the product is worth less since it has less support. Also apple loves removing features just so users will pay for another option. Anyone who supports apple is either a shill or a retard.

Are you talking about Windows? To install fit on Mac you just... Install git. As Mac is UNIX based, t has an actual terminal you can run all the git commands and also it works better and is less buggy than the Windows version, which is an afterthought.

I have done a lot of programming on my mac, even though I use Linux for my job. Yes it's a bit harder to install standard tools, but on the other hand most developer tools have explicit support for mac. Often there are prebuilt binaries.
So as a programmer, many things are actually easier, even though this is only possible because developer tools put effort into supporting macs, and Linux is inherently more suited to software development.

MacOS is alright. As long as you got the other operating system to use.. its not terrible. I'd take it over windows any day, and after some pains of configuring what little you can do in MacOS it can be preferable over Linux if you know what you want to accomplish.
The only thing I will absolutely hate on is Apple as a company and some of the dumb decisions they keep making.

Also, I can find no way to permanently disable flash, since it still periodically offers to upgrade (but also can't, because of el capitan being too old).
If your third party solution is the only way I might try it, but it seems like there should be a way to do it through Apple's offered stuff, instead of some dude that figured out a workaround to being not allowed to upgrade.

Even if mac wasn't dogshit from a consumer perspective which only poorfags and jobless retards care about, it's a steaming heap of dick for development, and should be treated as such. MacOS has not been a selling point of their computers for ages. Yes it's nice to have a (preinstalled) UNIX-based system instead of the fucking clusterfuck that is modern Windows, but the real reason most people bought Macs and Macbooks was for their hardware. Now that the hardware also got shit because of Tim Cook's inability to make a single good decision, Apple computers are now mostly popular because of "muh social status" and the iPhone's popularity, and this will slowly dwindle away unless they get their shit together again.
