Been here since '08 (not a good thing). Jow Forums has been left leaning for most of this time (more true on blue boards I'll admit...). America's recent presidential election has fucked the politics here (but if you've been coming here for the politics you're an idiot).

2004. I was 11 years old. I can't really remember how I stumbled on it since it was so small and irrelevant at the time. I'm pretty sure it had something to do with me figuring out internet porn around the same time.

Jow Forums's politics have always been odd, I was a pretty radical liberal throughout middle school (not quite a communist but I might have well been) explicitly because of /b/. Then I started browsing Jow Forums and OPERATORchan high school and my political opinions mellowed out. /new/ had been deleted and re-made several times because of overwhelmingly (according to moot) racist discussion. Then they turned /new/ into Jow Forums and big surprise it's the same as it always was. For some strange reason on Jow Forums wherever discussion about politics is expected that's the direction it moved in. Everywhere else is more moderate. /b/ seemed quite liberal for a long time but after Jow Forums was just kind of accepted /b/ and the other non-pornography related Yotsuba A boards all kind of drifted in the same direction.

This site was never good, really. Spend your time somewhere else, or at least stick to the Yotsuba B boards.
