Games on Xbone are like games on PS3.

What is this about? What they did now? What's stadia? Sounds like polish word for stadium.

Name one proper anticheat on Linux that actually does something

> Sounds like polish word for
Another pornstar.
> Petite Stadia takes on three big cocks!

>google
oh no, it's retarded
Get ready for the anti-white and anti-hate games.

This, Linux is old and busted (and botnet'd)
WE NEED A REAL ALTERNATIVE RIGHT NOW

You have filthy mind

punkbuster

Phantom Dust
Crimson Skies: The Good One
uhhh Gunvalkrie

OpenBSD is the only safe alternative.
everything else is CoCed, botnetted or if isnt already there is and high risk of it being in the future, while Theo would not let sjws and glow in the darks near his os while he's still alive.

>xbox games
so......halo? something that should've been ported in 2008?

>*BSD
>safe
No
BSD systems probably have more holes than windows. It's just not attacked as much

Most "anticheats" is spyware, and you probably shouldn't play games with random people.

EasyAntiCheat

how can you even cheat when all you have access to is the video stream?

the absolute state.

EAC is pretty respectable although I have no idea how well it works on Linux

its literally a video dude.
good luck cheating on that

Litterally never heard of any of them.

How is google going to get anywhere with out support?
They should have came out and said they were buying sony or something

>OpenBSD
>Viable alternative to anything in the history of ever
What the industry needs is a new OS build from scratch that actually learns from the mistakes of old. And that will happen sometime around the heat death of the universe.

how are they without support? google is dropping some serious cash on this shit, they dont need fag sony kek

They have no big players, just little scraps of support that shows up everywhere, like Ubisoft, and Doom.
I would have been impressed if they just said the entire 2018/2019 catalog of Betheda and Ubisoft games would be available.

And how many studios does Google own? How many studios has Google worked with in the past? How many devs are cumming through their panties onto their programming socks because Google announced a cloud gaming service we know literally nothing about? Yeah right.

they are not pulling a sony and microsoft and building a new plataform+studio with exclusives. It's literally a virtualization plataform for games. Studios can just put pc games there, no port and shit. And even if theyr bussines model its monthly based fees, normies would love this garbage, not needing to buy a console or a PC(or even using a garbage one)
they dont need to create a new game studio, they just need a good supply of studios to join in and enought cash flowing from consumers.
They are also pushing hard on virtualized game dev and dedicated hardware rent for enterprize and no brainer game distribution and server hosting, putting all in one plataform

Google isn't getting into the industry, this is basically just marketing for games.
"Oh look this streamer if playing a game I'll click here and try it"
>guys trys it and likes it
"Wow that was great I'll go on eshop/psn/xbl/steam and buy it without the input delay"

Even so that is still ignoring the biggest problem in the room with any game streaming service. The absolute majority of the entire world does not have an internet connection fast enough for low latency game streaming. I very much doubt it will be profitable now or in the "near future".

>Unix like
>Written in C
>Safe
Yeah right.

No directx though

you forgot data caps too. But they will just put the consumers to blame if the problem come to light tho

And even if FTTH had a market penetration of 80% in both the US and the EU latency is a bitch that would need some absolutely MASSIVE infrastructure upgrades that will not happen anytime soon. So literally dead on arrival.

Enjoy your Fifa and Madden I guess, scrub.

the infrastructure from google is not small, litteraly a node in every costal city and most of big cities. But i agree, latency will be a bitch, but calling it DOA is a bold assumption

>BSD systems probably have more holes than windows
what did he mean by this

Googles infrastructure doesn't matter. The datacenter could have terabit optical fibre if the ISPs infrastructure sucks ass (hint it does for this usage scenario) that doesn't mean jack shit.
The infrastructure in place right now is not designed for the ultra low latency that you need and adds a lot of latency. This will not gain any noticeable market share at all because the infrastructure isn't there yet.

I don't know why you're going on about gaming on a kernel but okay

If you didn't use a penguin image maybe you could argue you meant the full OS with GNU but you used the Linux kernel project logo

No one cares enough about BSD to find holes

>willingly installing rootkits in your system

Which language besides C and C++ could be used to make an entire OS from scratch?

cope

The java framework of the day.

HolyC

>What the industry needs is a new OS build from scratch that actually learns from the mistakes of old. And that will happen sometime around the heat death of the universe.
or, you know, right now.

"ultra low latency" is not a requirement for most single player games. I have about 6ms +-2ms to a google node from the nearest city, lets say we add 20ms just to expeculate. I will still have a good single player experience.
But i dont know how shit the US infraestructure really is. And if they deploy that shit only on their san francisco server, hell, i will be getting arround 160-180ms, and i think that will be a problem that they will try to prevent, because will kill the plataform.

So let me get this straight:
>Military focused kernel
>Proof of concept
>Build your own kernel framework
Not exactly what I was talking about. And security even though as massive problem is by for not the only thing that's completely fucked right now.

Yeah and how many people in the US or EU have access to Fibre? ~15%. Not exactly the best starting conditions. And you need ultra low latency. Even just 30ms of latency are noticeable and that is one way so really it's 60ms. 160-180ms is literally unplayable in comparison to the minimal input lag of the average game console or even PC. Have you tried stream gaming before? I did, 1000/1000 internet connection. It sucks ass. And 1000/1000 is literally the absolute minority in both the US and Europe, even if Fibre is available which it isn't for literally more than 80% of the entire population of 2 continents.

>(((anti-cheat)))
kill yourself

i think you miss interpreted the project. It will not be game streaming. The game will be run on their servers and a screencapture will be streamed to your device. no gamefile will be download, just a video stream, and just your movement/action input will be uploaded

I know what it is. And input delay on these services is horrid due to the internet infrastructure adding tons of latency.

Am I the only one who finds penguin with teeth really unnerving for some reason ?

i really think they know that and they have mitigated it. Would be completelly retarded to launch this service knowing the vast majority will be getting 60ms or more of input lag. I wish i had participated in the demo

So that's why M$ shat out DX12 for W7 out of nowhere.

There is nothing they can do. The problem is the ISPs infrastructure and on top of that the lack of widespread fibre availability. Then there's also the problem of routing adding latency even if just a little, if there isn't a direct link to the server that adds more latency on top of the already existing "base" latency. There really just isn't a market existing for this or the infrastructure needed to make it an enjoyable experience. Pay out the ass each month for a legit just shit experience or just get a PC or console that has none of the inherent problems game streaming is facing right now and has been ever since it was first introduced.
And that is exactly the reason why I don't get why Google is now delving into this market that (imo) will not realistically gain any noticeable market share right now or any time soon.

Companies like Google are the innovators, they don't tend to wait to jump in an already ongoing market. That's why you will never "see why" until its too late.

But there is nothing innovative about a service with enough flaws that should have prevented it from leaving the concept stage. And there isn't nothing to innovate here either. The flaw doesn't lie with Googles service either but the lack of a market for said service due to environmental factors out of their control.
tl;dr it's stupid from an "innovators" perspective and a business perspective cause this is a massive money sink that will likely never see ROI.

VAC

VAC bans all cheats at the moment

>proper anticheat .. that actually does something
>VAC

Attached: 1551487238523.jpg (611x548, 27K)

it was because of Blizzard and WoW
your are being very negative about something that you probably didnt tried out and is comparing it with smaller enterprise projects that dont have the scale the money and the personel to sink in and meke it gud
only time will tell nigga
also, fiber is not that necessary for latency, when my ISP change from coper to fiber it just cut 10ms. A good infraestructure is the key, but on the US that will never fucking happening, at least not with the actual cartel of ATnT and COMCAST

>smaller enterprise projects that dont have the scale the money and the personel to sink in and meke it gud
Nvidia is not a small project with no money or resources, and that is not the problem either and it won't be the problem of Googles service either as I have said before. The problem is, has been for years, and will be for years to come probably even decades, that the infrastructure that is fucking shite adding tons of delay copper fibre or wireless meme tech of the day.

what does microsoft killing xbox have to do with linux gaming?
>anti-white
>anti-hate
how do they not see the hypocrisy
no

>SaaS
This shit goes exactly against everything GNU/Loonix represents
Make it open source at least so people can build their own slow game servers
I feel like vomiting

Attached: 1552744886822.jpg (690x388, 20K)

well the mcc is going to be on steam so all the good ones are covered

IT'S HERE BOYS
YOU THOUGHT ANYONE WHO ACTUALLY RESEARCHED WHAT THEY'RE DOING WOULD CHOOSE YOUR PROPRIETARY BLOATDOWS FOR SOMETHING? HAHAHAHA!
THE FUTURE HAS 10000 STREAMING SERVICES BLEEDING MONEY FOR A SHIT CONCEPT AND FREE OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE USERS ARE THE ONLY WINNERS

You are the one coping with these games for subhumans, that have mechanics and graphics from 2008

so, you question why would Google launch a service that only a small percentage of US citizen can use because the rest have a shit infrastructure?
its literally not google fault that the infrastructure on the US cant be maintained by capable corporations.

That's like saying WADA catches all the dopers.

What cheat does VAC not catch?

But user, all games are for subhumans.
Except maybe Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld.

pretty much any custom made one, have you seen the state of CSGO

Attached: linux-desktop-i-want-to-believe.jpg (320x400, 77K)

>Gaymers are going to move away from a platform easier to use, institutionally endorsed for gayming by the developers of the operating system and the vast majority of publishers, and that's already installed on their systems because "much fweedom"

>client-side anticheat
kys, do it server-side or it WILL be bypassed

Google made a game streaming server that uses the linux kernel but much like android also uses the kernel it doesn't mean that the sever's operating system could ever run gnu/linux software. The sever provides a game streaming service which will be a disaster for the idea that you can own the software on your computer if it takes off as anything but a replacement for old browser games, something that at the very least I believe it will be successful at because not only does the service run in any browser, it can be embedded in any website.

Others have tried to be netflix for games. Google is now launching youtube for games.

It runs Debian. It's right on their fucking site.

Have you played CSGO any time between today and I don't know... the last 5 years? It's been progressively getting worse with the final nail in the coffin being the move to go free to play.
I have been a very good semi professional CSGO player, I played since the good old mod days. Everyone I know that still played CSGO when it went free to play quit right then and there. VAC isn't even a very bad joke. If VAC was a country it'd be a failed state with barely any working infrastructure remaining.

Well shit, I guess it's time to change distros before google fucking spyware gets pushed onto ALL FOUR OF MY GOD DAMN COMPUTERS FUCK.

Google and Microsoft are already some of the top contributes to the Linux kernel so I'm not sure what your ranting and ravings are all about.

It's just the absolute state of botnettards. They still think they can escape the botnet by using muh secret loonix club not realising it is basically developed by Google at this point. Nothing to see here beyond a retards ramblings just move on.

That code is audited though and available for anyone to look at. They can and do find issues before it's accepted into the mainline kernel. That's not possible with a proprietary system.

>server-side anticheat

Attached: 1552858001208.png (287x198, 98K)

I know it's open source. But no one, not even the people actively developing fully understand it anymore. It's well documented with people working on the kernel going public about it being an eldritch abomination. And if the developers aren't fully certain anymore, and with millions of lines of code upon tons of legacy code how could anyone still claim to have checked and understood the code with every contribution added to it.

> muh secret loonix club
Secret is rather completely irrelevant.

Openly seeing what it does at all levels and having the right to modify and share IS making it pretty robust against botnet bullshit.

See

> fully understand it
Absolutely not required. Do you fully understand the water pipes in your house? Maybe someone put a cyanide bomb in there that goes off in 50 years.

But this sophisticated sabotage isn't what you're realistically worried about, it's mainly whether your water pipes have suspicious intakes or exits.

And unlike with the water pipes in your house, anyone can run more or less sophisticated robots to look for suspicious structural elements or have a look / feel / whatever else. Many have a motivation to do so because they're altering the pipe system. It's pretty solid against the usual bullshit tampering.

>powered by AMD
noice.

If bannerlord supports Linux i'll make the switch.

this is literally /x/ tier conspiracy BS.

there's thousands of engineers working on the linux kernel, at some point there would be some leak about news about some rogue engineer talking about some botnet shit.

the goverment couldn't even stop some faggot employee from leaking thousands of it's intelligence files to russia.

ASM and binary, newfag

>ASM and binary
You know that they're basically the same, right?

Why secret? It could slip by unnoticed. Not even Stallman that old faggot reads millions of line of code.

read again:

>there's thousands of engineers working on the linux kernel, at some point there would be some leak about news about some rogue engineer talking about some botnet shit.

At some point some faggot will notice.

And I never claimed that it wouldn't but considering the size of the kernel, new code being added constantly, things slipping by, botnet or not, even just on accident are more than realistic.

nigger, there's entire companies who make audits of the kernel.

There's too much money involved for companies to not noticed a faggot made a hole on the kernel for the epic Jow Forums lulz.

They're not. ASM is human-readable, unlike binary(for most people). Just because ASM is assembled to binary doesn't mean they are "basically the same." Fuck you.

It's a 1:1 mapping of the exact same commands.
To program for "binary" you literally program in assembly in your head, then you either remember or get a reference to the number of every command.
