i've thought about trying to make an osx/macos ricing guide. I think i've probably put more time into figuring it out than anybody with the exception of a few mystery desktops i've seen

Is that Qutebrowser? It looks like it but with the bottom bar removed.

its waterfox with my css.

it honestly isn't that hard, the worst part was figuring stuff out on my own since i have almost no linux experience and there aren't really any communities/guides on this shit. The other part of me wants to keep it all to myself so I can feel original even tho I just rip aesthetics from desktop threads

what's going on w/ ur ncmpcpp here? Most configs barely look different from each other, this is pretty cool

>ftb?
what is ftb

is this the new desktop thread

no documentation is the worst.
>The other part of me wants to keep it all to myself so I can feel original even tho I just rip aesthetics from desktop threads
i understand this. i usually share most of my stuff, but i keep some to myself also.
its a foobar skin on my windows machine.

niceeeee. back in the day ion2 got me hard. i miss it.

would definitely be interested in a ricing guide. currently using an early 2015 MBA and it's starting to slow to a crawl. have been ricing it a little by turning off unneeded features but haven't gone too deep.

what stuff are you turning off? I don't use most of what macos comes with but I don't usually disable much

biggest performance gain is turning everything off in spotlight other than applications and system preferences. spotlight will index your whole hard drive if you let it.

turn off all extensions, icloud, login items, animations.

i just so happen to be listening to the album that has given me my favorite/go-to color pallette for both my machines
looks great, better than most linux ricers
i would ask you what program youre using to have multiple virtual desktops but then that would signify i dont know myself, and i would never put myself in such a vulnerable position as to "not know something" on 4channel.org
that lucio battisti album is good. very cohesive desktop with exactly the type of wallpaper i enjoy myself.
top bar looks swell, the rest is simply.. how do i put this, maybe soulless. but it does have soul in that its distinctly soulless.
that wallpaper is fire

Cool, but those gaps are *absolutely* useless considering you have a solid color wallpaper...

>9GB ram used

Holy fuck, I get about 300MB draw with Debian plus i3

I really know, but I like the aesthetic. I'll probably get rid eventually.

how to become epileptic 101

For me it's Arch Linux!

god I want to lick you from your bellybutton to your neck

what do you do on your computer all day

god I want you to die in agony

On windows just use wallpaper engine. On linux I used xwinwrap (op image) with mpv but I've heard you can set wallpapers with vlc too.
Not op but here's the workshop: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1377781446 I can upload mp4 later if you want

l-lewd

Damn that looks really good. Can you share your wallpaper and extensions you used?

t. gnome pleb

Are you using GNOME?
Assuming yes, install Tweak Tool so you can manage extensions. You have to find what extensions work for you. Some that I use are:
- Application Menu (changes Activities button to a button that shows a simpler menu)
- Places Menu (easy access to mounted disks, favorites, etc.)
- GSConnect (a implementation of the KDE Connect protocol)
- Impatience (faster animations)
- Not hot corner (so you don't open activities menu by accident)
To get the dock, install Plank and make it start with gnome when you log in. You could also use the Dash to Dock extension, but in my experience Plank always worked better and looks better too.
Then, you have three themes to pick: an icon theme, a GTK theme and a Gnome Shell theme. You can find those at gnome-look.org. See whatever works for you.
If you have any other questions just ask.

nice

Attached: based.png (1920x1080, 2.3M)

sure, it's pretty much stock kde but with a kvantum theme called breezeblurred, latte dock, etc. i guess i don't really know what you mean by extensions since they don't really apply in kde lol
